Cramps and still pregnant? 🥺

Hi everyone. Clutching at straws a little here but AF is due anytime between now & Saturday. I’ve have period type cramps all day but nothing has arrived yet. Not sure exactly when I ovulated but the app predicts around 4th Jan. We DTD loads with being off work for Christmas so I was hoping this would be the month 🥺

Anyway my question is.. has anyone had AF type cramps around the time it would be due and still had a BFP? I wanted to hold off testing until the weekend if possible as I had a chemical in November so promised myself I wouldn’t test early again.. until I’d missed AF.

I know it’s probably the inevitable and AF will arrive tomorrow but just keen to hear from anyone who’d had cramps, though AF was coming and was actually pregnant (if that’s even a thing!!)

Yes I had horrendous cramps at the beginning of both of my pregnancies. It is usually due to softening of the tendons around the womb. It's very difficult to differentiate between that pain and period pain. Good luck

@TheFormidableMrsC Thank you! As I say I know I’m probably clinging to hope here as they do feel very much like AF cramps and when I’ve tried to look online it just says about implantation cramps which I think it’s too late for now. I have that dull, heavy feeling which makes me think it’s my period but hoping it’s not! Time will tell 🤞🏼

I’m in exactly the same thought tornado @Laul89 ! AF due tomorrow. Awful cramps today and yesterday. Emotional behind belief. Rapidly losing hope. Also don’t want to test until missed period (Friday) so just trapped with my thoughts until Friday 😢

if you ovulated on the 4th it can take 2weeks before egg implants so it could well be this. Fingers crossed op

Your body does such weird things and I can understand why you're feeling like you do. I really hope you get happy news! With my second baby, I was convinced that I was miscarrying for about two weeks because the cramps were so strong yet here he is, 11 years old and stinking of farts 🙄😆

@CRbear its awful isn’t it! I have such a headache but I think it’s cos I’m just overthinking and stressing so much! Trying to chill and think what will be will be but the days just drag by so long and every time I go to the toilet I’m expecting AF! 🥺 keep me updated with how you get along.. fingers crossed for us both! 🤞🏼

Yes! I’ve had period type cramps, probably the worst I’ve ever had when I was 3-4 weeks pregnant☺️

I felt the same as I always do before AF. My difference this time round was that I didn’t have my 3-4 day pre AF spotting and I had plenty of creamy CM from around 4/5dpo onwards which I never usually had.

It's exactly what I had before my BFP. Strong period-like cramps and symptoms on the Wednesday, was sure AF was imminent. Boobs started aching Thursday. Tested when still no AF on Friday and it was a strong positive.

The cramps and dull feeling seems to be coming & going this morning… still no AF 😬🤞🏼 but there is a chance it could come between now & Saturday as my cycles fluctuate a little. It’s reassuring to know that the cramps don’t automatically mean you’re out though, thank you! ☺️

Only cycle 1! And I have PCOS. So it would have been a miracle. But I obviously had high hopes anyway despite trying to be realistic haha. Excited to try again though. Hope that lasts!

Yes!! I had 'period cramps' for about 3/4 days (though my period wasn't due for a week) eventually I put 2+2 together and realised something else was going on. I was indeed pregnant!

My cramps lead me to think period was due any day I did that for 13 weeks passing it off and then realised oh I'm pregnant

Hey , sorry to jump in. I’m 10 dpo, I have had cramp/twinge on right side for 3/4 days now also have had tingly/ letdown feeling in both breast plus other symptoms. Negative test this morning so I’m going to hold off and see if AF comes or not due between the 22-24.

I got proper period pains but no period. Cramping, nausea, twisting kind of sensation... He's 12 now 😃

I'm due my period between yesterday and tomorrow m, I've had some what period pains on and off since Wednesday, I've had nauseous since Sunday throwing up once a day, my boobs have been so sore since 2 days past ovulation, I'm extremely tired .. I really do feel differently this month but i say this every month 🙈 @Laul89 hope your ok

I know I should just test but the chemical has knocked me 🥺 if nothing by tomorrow then I’m technically ‘late’ so will test then. @Laul89 That's like me if I don't start by Monday then I'm definitely late so il be resting then but I'm so tempted to test this weekend but breaks my heart when I see a negative! I just haven't got my usual pms that's why I'm confused but fingers crossed for you too keep us updated xxx

I had cramps and light bleeding with both successful pregnancies. My first pregnancy had the most horrendous cramps ever. With both I was using sanitary products as was convinced it was af and then when it didn't develop I tested.

@Laul89 thank you, I hope everything works out for you. Keep us updated! I have had brown in my CM this morning and yesterday morning. Very veryyyy faint positive this morning but I’m not counting it just incase it’s an indent.

I had cramps the week before I got my bfp. I've also had them on and off since including today and I'm 17w now. Sending lots of baby dust your way! x
