Ovulation test nightmare

Hello,

Could anybody please help me with my ovulation tests. I'm so confused - I'm currently following sperm meets egg plan so have been testing daily. According to my app I should have ovulated yesterday - but the tests all seem to show a similar line strength from when I first started testing!

I'm worrying I'm not going to ovulate at all :(

Can you ovulate earlier next month if you had a chemical. Just asking cause from Sunday I had ewcm for 3 days. Had cramp on one side and sorry for tmi incredibly horny 🙈 but didn't see a change in test so wondering if I've missed it. I'm gonna keep testing just in case tho

@Emmamoo89 after one of my chemicals I ovulated as normal but another I was later but I think ovulating earlier could be possible but I would think more common to be later as you have to wait for body to get back to normal but at the same time if your body sorted itself out quickly then it probably could. The EWCM was always the sign for me and the opk’s backed it up but maybe you had a very fast surge.

I would carry on testing though definitely if you’ve had a chemical last cycle as your body could be doing anything right now. After my 2 chemicals I bled a little after sex 2-3 days before ovulation! I never bleed around that time only after the chemicals. It can do strange things to our bodies but I promise you we do get back to normal.

I did have my second chemical the cycle after my first one but then the cycle after that I got pregnant again and so far (I think) all good.

Thank you! I think my body sorted itself out quickly. I got my period back 6 months pp which was light and so was my first chemical. Second chemical was really heavy so I think my lining wasn't right. And think it'll be thick enough now hopefully for next pregnancy.

@spermysperm could you have ovulate CD11? The peak can occur so quickly.

I tested from CD9 and caught my peak at CD17 I wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't upped the testing I did morning, 5PM and 11PM. Caught the peak in the morning then back down by 11pm.

Now I'm worried I'm ovulating too late as I have short cycles... the worry is never ending...!

Hii! Sorry you’re going through this frustration 💐

I just want to strongly recommend that you start tracking basal body temp too (I had a TempDrop gadget that I wore on my arm all night that was excellent for this).
That way even if you miss the peak with the ovulation tests you can still definitely say whether you have or have not ovulated that month (by seeing a 0.5-1C temp rise within a day or two of ovulation)

Try not to think about it as a single month game, but rather a process of gathering information about your cycle so you have the best chance next month. And if in doubt just have sex every other day from CD8 to CD20 👌

I honestly don't know. My cycles are usually from 28-34 days long - they have recently been more regular at around 30 days but I've had a lot of gyno issues that I had surgery to repair.

I worry about ovulating too early and too late as well so I totally understand :( xx

Thank you - I am definitely going to learn about the basal body temp - I have the thermometer but haven't used it yet.

I was trying to follow sperm meets egg but panicking as I've only had sex every other day since cycle day 11 so I'm worried I'm not doing enough. With only one clear tube too that adds to the worry that I won't do enough on the month I actually ovulate from the clear side! Arghhh x

I think I've got dodgey lh tests. I looks at the reviews and got some bad ones. This wee wasn't held in at all and thought to do one to see and a line like this should not of appeared. The bottom one is most recent 😐 xx

I have had positives with them in the past though. I used to use the plastic ones but they're expensive in the long run :(

This is what it looks like now. As that's when I had just done it. Better not have a bad batch :( I've never had issues before. Yeah they are but so worth it

Yours definitely look significantly stronger than mine. I wonder if that is your peak? Fingers crossed for you!

I'm going to do my third of the day when I'm back from work tonight.

I'll keep testing. Thank you. I'll do another one in the morning. Too tired to bd tonight. But If I do get my peak tomorrow I'll bd then. Hopefully you'll get a strong line tonight

I think it's picked up now...not quite peak but it's surely almost there

I've finally got my peak on cycle day 17! It shows how unreliable my app is (and I've been mainly following my app recently as I didn't want the added stress of the tests! 😩)

Thank you ♥️ no I definitely won't anymore - I showed them my gyno too at one point and he confirmed they were right! I'm just relived I have finally peaked. X

So glad you got your peak ❤ still no peak but will keep testing and update xx

I'm only CD16 I've got peak on CD19 before so we shall see xx
