Hi first month using easy @ home ovulation strips. They are just the same every day and not progressing and I'm worried in not going to ovulate. I have a pretty regular 30 day cycle so app says I should have ovulate yesterday which I'm still getting negatives😩
Has anyone else experienced this and just ovulated later on? I've added photos of my tests

Hugs, so hard isn't it. What app is that?

Larcie96 · 16/01/2023 10:29

@ladybranstonpickle It's honestly really getting to me now we've only been trying for 5 months, which is why I thought I would try these tests but I seem to be just getting more upset with not ovulating.. the app is called pre mom

Maybe you ovulate later and have a shorter luteal phase? I have a 30/31 day cycle and don't ovulate until around day 20 (1 DC, conceived through IVF but only because of male factor).

Ovulating later will not give you a short luteal phase. Just means your period will be later. Luteal phase will stay exactly the same

OdeToBarney · 16/01/2023 10:45

@Emmamoo89 what I meant was maybe OP has a luteal phase which is on thr slightly shorter side, like mine. Ie 10 days, not the "typical" 12 or 14 days. It's her first month using ov tests, so she likely doesn't know what's usual for her and where in her cycle she normally ovulates.

Larcie96 · 16/01/2023 10:46

@OdeToBarney thankyou for your reply this makes me feel much better! I feel like all these apps and ovulation calculators make you feel like you should be ovulating on these days so was just a bit worried. I will keep testing every day and hopefully get darker. Also does everyone hold their wee for the 4 hours before you do the ovulation test and no drink or is this not true?

OdeToBarney · 16/01/2023 10:48

@Larcie96 you're welcome. I know what it feels like, but there aren't many people who fit the exact mould of the apps! I used to hold my pee for as long as I could in the afternoons (best time to do them) and drink only a little. Don't get dehydrated though!

Larcie96 · 16/01/2023 10:52

@OdeToBarney great I will test later this afternoon😊
Also sorry if tmi but I'm getting milky watery cm is this a sign ovulation might be on its way before the ewcm.. sorry for all the questions

10 days is still classed as normal. Below that is not. Best to do ovulation tests to find out how long it is

Mines 10 days. I have been taken vit by complex and vit d to try and lengthen it. I have manged to get pregnant but ended in chemicals not because of the 10 day luteal phase. I don't think my lining was thick enough. My last chemical was so heavy so should be okay now

Does sound like ovulation is on the way 😊

MargaritMargo · 16/01/2023 11:05

Just keep testing
It can be really frustrating but my ovulation is actually around day 17/18. I used to test from day 10 and I’d have a week of nothing much Happening then suddenly a couple of dark lines.
If you get to your period and you haven’t had a positive then you could try tracking your temps next month just to see if perhaps you’re missing the surge window or if you’re not ovulating as you say.

I’d put money on just a slightly later ovulation than you expected

Larcie96 · 16/01/2023 13:23

Thankyou for all your comments! I have just done another test and it has definitely got darker so I'm thinking it will hopefully get darker over next few days😊

Goes left to right in order

ChloeN · 16/01/2023 21:31

My LH tests are always so faint, then go to peak within a day! I was getting so upset not seeing a rise like other people but I just had a quick surge xx

Mostwonderful · 16/01/2023 21:38

I’ve never got a positive on an internet cheapie but fell pregnant on our third month. We used to base it around my one half decent line.

Second time round we did the Clearblue Advanced Ovulation tests which look at two different hormones. You only test once a day with your longest overnight wee which means there’s less faff. We fell second month using these and I was ovulating three/four days later than I thought and would have missed it!

Mrsrobinsonx · 16/01/2023 21:47

My ovulation tests stay really faint until the day before/day of ovulation so keep going! Last one you posted looks like it’s nearly there. I ovulated cd18 last month x

Hi sorry to jump on post would you say this is positive ovulation test? I’m currently cycle day 11 and this is the strongest one I’ve had, first cycle of trying ovulation tests after loss of baby in November

I would say that's positive. Keep testing tho x

Mummy1502 · 18/01/2023 15:58

@Emmamoo89 it got much darker and is darker than the control line, il keep testing x

Mrsrobinsonx · 18/01/2023 20:59

@Mummy1502 You don’t need to keep testing, the 1st positive is what you go by so you should ovulate today/tomorrow x

Actually it's the darkest one you go by. But she should ovulate tomorrow
