EW still day after ovulation, Fertility Fried Ovulation day confusion

Hi all! I'm struggling to find my real date of ovulation using FF, as I clearly had a temperature rise on what seems to be the day after I ovulated CD19, but I still had some EW discharge on the same day as the first temp rise, which I logged into the app. Because of this, FF has moved my ovulation date from CD18 to CD20, even if my temperatures go up. I've noticed that if I remove the EW from CD19, then FF brings back my O day to CD18. I've read in some sites that it is normal to have some EW discharge 1-2 days after O, why does FF use this as such a conclusive reason to change the O date? Which day did I ovulate then?

Here’s a picture of my current chart if that’s helpful

I'd say you're right with the 18th :)

thanks for answer. Thats what I think too! I find it very weird that just because I had EW the day after, then Fertility Friend thinks I ovulated 2 days later. I’ve removed the EW from CD19 (didn’t change temps or anything else) and this is how my chart looks now

FF isn't always right and can't be intelligent about its predictions in the same way that humans can. In November mine told me I hadn't ovulated and I got pregnant that month (though miscarried before New Year) so I definitely did 🤷🏻‍♀️

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage

Its my 3rd month using FF even if I’ve been TTC for over a year, so still getting to know it. Tried Premom for a few months, definitely FF is a lot better even if it still has some mistakes!

I think it's more based upon temps and the temp shift was more obvious after CD20

I see what you mean. But when I remove the EW symptom on CD19, then it moves the O day to CD18, which leads me to believe that is the reason why it thought CD20 is the O day, not the fact that temp is higher from CD20.

Ive read that there’s many ways of getting temperature/progesterone raise and for some people is gradual rather than straightway, which doesn’t mean ovulation happened later -as long as there’s a raise.

One of my questions is- is it normal to have EW day after ovulation? This is a bit confusing, but apparently it can also be that it’s some leftover EW discharge.
