I’m on letrozole, should I ask for progesterone?

Just that really. I’ve read about people doing IUIs and getting pregnant when they get put on progesterone during the TWW.
I’m on my third IUI. 32 years old, secondary infertility, trying for 13 months now. All our tests came back normal but my cycles were a bit off (never the same length, between 32 and 38 days).
I’m on letrozole then an ovitrelle trigger.
thanks if anyone has any experience with this!
should I ask about getting progesterone too?

Hello, I had a successful cycle with Letrozole, ovitrelle and progesterone
I did have issues with spotting in the luteal phase and miscarriage though so hence the progesterone.
I don’t think there is any issue with asking for this
best of luck.

Thank you! So glad it worked for you, gives me hope!
I haven’t had any spotting but I’ve had short luteal phases on both letrozole cycles (12 days and 13 days), compared to 14 days before taking the letrozole.
I will ask when I go for my scan on Monday.

I got the progesterone! Just started it at 2dpo (I waited until my EWCM had gone, hope that was the right thing to do)
Thanks for your support because you gave me the confidence to ask for it.

No bother at all!
So pleased to hear this. ❤️ Let me know how it goes for you!

@anotherscroller your comment could have been written by me, we’re in identical circumstances and age. Letrozole worked first month for me, I was very lucky! I was on cyclogest for the first 12 weeks but I didn’t have the shot as they were confident I would ovulate without it (which I did). Wishing you lots and lots of luck!!
