When does everyone starting OPK testing after AF? I'm reading conflicting info online

@Betsy21 last cycle I started testing the day after AF ended because I kept missing my peak and wanted to be sure I got it. Turns out it was a bit later than I expected so I'll probably only test from around CD10 next time.

I don't know why but I did a test this morning - cheap pink dye one. I think I've got the faintest line - it's a real squinter. DH can see it too. I don't want to get my hopes up too much and I know I've got a long way to go still. Plus with testing so early, it could be a chemical.. I am just so so hopeful it's an actual positive and that it sticks.
Will test again tomorrow and see where we're at.

Yeah I was the same I didn't peak untill 5 days after my suspected ovulation date. I reckon I'll start testing in a week

@Betsy21 I'm 9 DPO today so it's very early. I think I was 10 DPO when I found out with DD so not too dissimilar.

Well, I tested again this morning because it seemed that AF had vanished and it's definitely positive! 😁

I just did a test and it was negative at 8po (obviously, why do i do this to myself!!) i definitely feel off so hoping that im not out of the game yet xxx
@redavocado when did you get your positive test? Xxx

My test was negative at 10dpo (eve) and then positive at 13dpo! Obviously in between I cried, drank buckets of wine and ate raw fish and rare steak.

Honestly, if its all in my head i must be mad. Feel sick this evening, back aching, had cramps a few days ago and tightenings but thats calmed down now. Then the brown discharge when wiping earlier!

This is so hard x

The line is more visible today...10 DPO so very early but I feel like it's definitely a line?! Might buy some CB tests for the weekend.

Hi all! Hope it's okay to join? 😄I have been lurking on these threads trying to suss out what I am doing/not doing!!

A bit about me; I am 31, TTC #1. Currently on CD12 and testing using CB OPK's (cheap ones I used for months and sent me crazy) each day since CD9 - sounds super early but I have had spotting a week after coming off which one nurse said could be a sign of ovulation so I have obviously just run with that haha.

I have been on the mini pill/cerazette for 12 years and came off last March, me and DP weren't properly trying but we also weren't being careful and had the 'if it happens, it happens' approach. Last month we had the chat to start trying properly so I've been for blood tests and a ultrasound as since coming off the pill I have been irregular so wasn't sure if it was masking something else and wanted to get it checked out before TTC properly. I've got Flo, my fitbit app also tracks my cycle (I take the apps with a pinch of salt though- anyone else find them slightly conflicting?!), taking folic acid, vit b12 and vit D. Using CB tests (I got them on offer on amazon!) now everyday for 20 days to try and find when in my irregular cycle I ovulate so I can get to it!

DP seems to think it will be super easy and will happen first cycle of TTC but I am trying to not spiral and run away with that as I know it can be disappointing etc.

Hi ladies hope you don’t mind me jumping on this thread…
I started TTC from the first of January too. I was on birth control pills and stopped my last one on NYE at the end of the pack. I don’t really know what DPO I am as I haven’t tracked my ovulation with any sticks only my period app which I hear is not that reliable. My period is due tomorrow and so far no signs of it. I had some light pink spotting 2 days ago and thought it was my period starting early but nothing since. I have taken two cheap tests and I swear I see a faint line on them. I just did another cheap one now and it’s negative. I am going crazy!! I am thinking maybe my period is just adjusting to being off birth control. I was only only it for about 6 months prior to that I had a copper IUD and I’ve been very regular for years. I’ve attached some pics of my tests let me know what you think!! Baby dust to you all!

@Chip131 me too & im only on cycle day 3 so haven’t even started trying yet this month 😂 hope she leaves quickly so can start again ,

Your situation is similar to mine.

I was on the pill (cerazette, cerelle, destrogel) for 12 years. I stopped taking it not long after I turned 31 in September gone. Didn't have sex during my October cycle (wasn't well) and conceived November. I did Mc but unrelated to age etc.

I’ve just had some confusing texts and results from my doctors this morning about my blood test/ scan showing “suggestive PCOS”. Feeling anxious and overwhelmed and abit frustrated as she has been abit crap before so I’ve booked in for my results with a different GP this afternoon to talk through them. I did get a flashing smiley face on my OPK this morning though so that’s some good news I guess and something to stop me worrying/ spiralling!! Hope everyone has a nice day xxx
