Hi all, currently 15dpo and expecting period today (my luteal phases tend to be 15 days). Had what I thought was implantation bleeding and cramps on 9dpo, but did a test this morning on a 10miu and was BFN. Have mild cramps but not like usual PMS symptoms. Do I have any hope?? Any one had a late positive?

Did you test? X

dreaminginvintage · 04/01/2023 21:11

@Emmamoo89 thanks for the wishes! And no I didn’t yet, I’m too scared to get a negative😣 but still no AF. Am going to test in the morning! Will update x

@Emmamoo89 test is completely negative lol. I have no idea what’s going on. I’m so much pain with lower back and cramps aswell but no other signs of AF, not even spotting!

@dreaminginvintage quietly following this thread - are you certain you ovulated when you think you did? It may have happened later? If so, today is now 18dpo for you. I believe the recommendation is to call the GP if no AF by tomorrow to definitely rule a pregnancy out.

dreaminginvintage · 05/01/2023 14:31

@NatGee I didn’t take an ovulation test so there’s a chance I’m not correct, but I just went off my normal ovulation symptoms (ewcm, increased libido, cramps) which all happened 17/18th December. This month felt the same as every other, only difference was the cramps/ back pain and brown spotting on what I believe was 9dpo. And the aches I’m having now.

The test I did today was an early detection, and there’s not even a hint of a line. I heard that it’s recommended to wait 1 week after the missed period to get an accurate result? Is that true from what you know?

@dreaminginvintage With the sorts of tests on the market nowadays you dont even have to wait for a missed period, but I believe you know this. Even a few days after missing AF is plenty of time for there to be sufficient hcg in your bloodstream for detection. Off cycles also do happen. I was two weeks late back in June but AF arrived as I was about to test (it was our first month ttcing so I was much more relaxed then!) and I had an anovulatory cycle in September. But give your gp a call to ask, everyone is so different.

PinkPlantCase · 05/01/2023 14:40

You’ll just have to wait and see, as annoying as it is.

I don’t think it’s worth calling the GP for though. The pregnancy tests we can buy are very sensitive.

dreaminginvintage · 05/01/2023 19:50

@NatGee ahh that’s so annoying! This is our first month ttc aswell and getting a delayed period with no BFP is so cruel!! Best wishes to you!

@PinkPlantCase that’s what I’m thinking. There’s no way these tests can be wrong surely. Just hoping AF will come soon then, these PMS symptoms are getting too much now😣
