TTC Cycle 7 after a loss... the never ending saga

I understand some people have been trying a lot longer so I don’t want to upset anyone, but I guess I’m just feeling deflated and looking for success stories …
I lost a baby in May and I feel like it’s never going to happen again, I see so many people having chemicals and faint lines - this is not the case for me I have absolutely had nothing since May.
we started ttc December 2021 and over a year later I have nothing to show for it …

please share your stories I just need some hope I guess 🤍✨

Hey im realy sorry for your loss and I'm afraid I can't give you a posative story but I can tell you that you are absalutly not on your own! I miscarried with my first pregnancy at 6 weeks in September after trying with my husband 10+ years and trying for it to happen again now it's taking over my.mind, body and soul.
I do however have a close friend who miscarried her 1st pregnancy and took about a year to conceive again with a beautiful baby boy so don't give up hope ! Sending you best wishes x

@NSx hi lovely! I can deff give you some hope if that’s what’s needed.

First time ttc in 2016 fell pregnant 1st cycle. Ecstatic! Found out it was a blighted ovum at 13 weeks and miscarried naturally. Definitely was not then ecstatic.
Took me 7 cycle to get my BFP and I missed the first one out so I waited 8 cycles really. Miscarried in October. Found out I was pregnant again in the May. And that gave me my DD who is now 4 😄

Roll on Summer June 21 we decided to ttc our second. Nothing. For 11 whole cycles. No chemicals. No faint lines. Not a thing. Had all checks. We’re both fine. Then cycle 11 in March of this year. Bingo. Positive test.
I then went for early scan at 8 weeks to discover measurements were off and 2 days later the heartbeat had stopped. Another mmc. So after medical management and ERPC surgery in May 22 earlier this year.

I then fell pregnant straight away again May as we didn’t avoid the next cycle but it was a chemical 💔 which ended within a few days of positive tests.

3 cycles later in August I found out I was pregnant again. And all is well this time. 24 weeks now with another baby girl 💕

So all in all. My daughter took 10 months to conceive with one mmc.
And this baby took 15 months with one mmc and a chemical.

Alas pretty shitty journeys. But we clearly our fertile having been pregnant 5 times. It is just luck of ball sometimes and a waiting game.
I hope that gives you some hope and positive story. Keep going. It will happen. It’s just the hardest thing whilst you wait in the depths of despair.

xxx

@NSx you are not alone. I miscarried in April 2022 after catching on second month in Feb and still trying now with no luck. Having a bit of a break for a couple of months as it was consuming my mind and I have other things going on and couldn’t deal with the constant disappointment on top of other stressors. Just wanted to let you know you’re not alone and I’m going through the same. It will happen x

@Indianna2006 @Annapolis35
thanks so much for replying - it really means a lot, I know it can be hard to talk about and not many people want to share their struggles.
I guess when you see all the success stories of people falling pregnant so easily and being able to fall pregnant time and time again, your mind starts to wander and you start to worry that it’s never going to happen.
More-so I just imagined it would have happened by now as it happened so quickly at the start of the year and now nothing.
Your stories do help and I feel a bit less alone in all of this 🤍
@Indianna2006 congratulations and I hope you have a easy and healthy pregnancy 💖💖
@Annapolis35 going into 2023 and I hope we are going to get our BFPs sooner rather than later ❤️❤️

@NSx After my MMC in April it took seven cycles to get pregnant again. I think the Ferti-lily helped us as my husband has low sperm motility. Unfortunately this one is another MMC for us.

Hang in there though, your next bfp could be right around the corner :)

MC at seven weeks in 2020, then nothing until another pregnancy and horrendous miscarriage at 12 weeks just before the big scan in march 2021. Think we tried for over a year at that point. Fell pregnant the next cycle and had a beautiful daughter in Jan 2022 after a pretty difficult stress filled pregnancy. It's really really hard to keep going sometimes, and I found it very difficult the more I got into temps etc as I obsessed over why it wasn't happening for us. It did eventually and I feel very grateful and lucky for it but it was a long stressy emotional road! I hope it happens for you soon.

@TheBirdintheCave @Dakin thanks for replying to me I truly appreciate it ❤️
the thing that worries me the most is they say that the more u stress the less chance it can happen as stress is a factor, but I honestly can’t find a way to not stress. Do any of you have any tips to try and be ‘less stressed’ ?
also did you DTD every day, every other day? Or just when you got your peak, so like day before and after? X

@NSx

Ignore anyone who says that. I have anxiety and I still managed to get pregnant three times :)

TheBirdintheCave · 01/01/2023 19:44

@NSx Oh and with my son we dtd every other day across the fertile window. With the two we lost we dtd ever day.

I'm going back to trying every other day next time just in case it was causing problems.

Just to say I’m in the similar shoes as you. No positive story here yet I’m afraid. Started TTC June 21, got pregnant cycle 6, then lost the first pregnancy at 15 weeks, as it was a second trimester miscarriage I was advised to wait for a consultant follow up before trying again which took 3 months, had a 3 cycles TTC then it turned out I needed surgery to reduce the risk of another pregnancy loss (had a large and growing ovarian cyst they said might twist during a pregnancy) with another 2 month wait (went private as the NHS wait was >1yr). Now I’ve been TTC a further 3 cycles once we had the all clear from surgery still nothing nearly a year after my first loss and 18 months after we started TTC, 12 cycles in all.
