I use the flo app - it seems to be spot on my with periods so far but a few days out on my ovulation day so have been using cheap strip ovulation tests from home bargains in junction while the app figures it out. I’ve only logged 3 months of data so far so think it will get more accurate the more months I log - or maybe there is a better app out there!

sending you baby dust for 2023 x

Great thanks I’ve signed up, so you do your basal temp too? @MilkyAndFluffy

I also use Flo - I have been off the pill for 2 years now so I hope it has a decent amount of data to go by. It’s usually pretty spot on with my periods give or take a few days.

I don’t use OPKs or BBT yet as we are still pretty new to ttc so don’t want to over stress myself yet. I know we must be dtd around the right time of the month as I fell pregnant in November but unfortunately it ended in a chemical.

I would recommend Flo and try to get some data into it asap so you can start building up a picture of your cycles ☺️

@Laul89 just signed up, going to wait until at least mid March. So hopefully that will be three cycles to get some data and up my folic acid. We have a little boy who is almost 2 and got pregnant on the third cycle so 🤞🏻 for a December 2023. I’m feeling really impatient this time, just desperate to get started. How long have you been TTC? Do you have any children or will this be your first

@Giles1008 i don’t do my temp at the min I’ve just been using the ovulation pee strips and seeing when my LH surges. I said if I try for 6 months with no luck of falling I’ll start doing temp too but I know loads of people who do use them. It’s totally personal preference. There was a link to one from Amazon on another thread a girl recommended - I’ll share the link for you just in case you are looking for one (I can’t vouch for it as I haven’t started using one myself yet but she said it was good) 😊

I've just switched to Flo after months of using Clue just to track cycles. Flo seems better for ttc and allows you to input previous cycles too (important for me as I'm ridiculously irregular).

I did BBT last time, but I'm not sure it helped. It stressed me out and meant the first thing I thought about, every morning of the month, was ttc. I'm not sure it was healthy. I'll be using ovulation strips this time and watching out for EWCM to know when is best time to do the deed!

Best of luck xx

JuniperandI · 30/12/2022 11:36

I've used Clue for years, before we ttc.

I'd say don't pile too much on yourself too quickly like having lots of apps, doing OPKs and BBT. If you're anything like me it can feel like a lot of pressure very early on as ttc may take some time.

Also, start taking your folic acid now 😀

Yeah best to get some data in now so it has something to go off initially! I paid for premium Flo as it was only about £20 or so and gives you some extra info/advice - however I could have done without - I was just curious 🤣

Once you know you’re going to start you become so impatient don’t you! We don’t have any children yet, this will be our first. We weren’t careful in October while we were on honeymoon but been ‘officially’ trying since November so this is currently cycle 3 for us. Just hoping it doesn’t take too long 🥺🤞🏼You will have a lovely age gap between your son & baby! x

@crazymuseummum I don’t think I’m going to do BBT, we have a little boy that is 2 years old so my sleep is disrupted which I heard makes it inaccurate. Plus like you said it’s not healthy constantly obsessing over it.

I actually need to wait until at least March to start trying. I moved jobs in September and I believe their maternity policy is after 63 weeks so baby needs to be born after end of November. I know it’s unlikely to get pregnant first go but I’m still going to wait just in case.

Congratulations on your wedding @Laul89 fingers crossed 2023 brings you a baby! I found it so hard to be relaxed about it when trying the first time, it’s just my personality to over plan but going to try put it to the back of my mind start taking my folic acid and then tracking.

@Giles1008 Thank you! ☺️
Congratulations on your new job! I was a bit the same as I started a new job in 2021… if everything had of went to plan we would have got married in 2020, then 2021.. obviously it ended up being 2022 but worked out for the better as I will now qualify for the maternity pay! 🙌🏼 I think it’s definitely best to wait just those extra few months isn’t it.

It is really hard not to obsess over 😩 this month has felt a little easier with the distraction of Christmas. But I go back to work next week so the two week wait will definitely DRAG!

Thank you, I hope so! And good luck to you too! 🤞🏼✨

Flo for me too. I've successfully fallen pregnant on my 4 children in the last 5 years so it's the only one I swear by.
