TWW after chemical pregnancy - 6dpo pink spotting?

Sae3005 · 23/12/2022 13:33

So I had a chemical last month. I peaked on the 15th of December and either ovulated the same day or the 16th. Around 6/7dpo I had some light pink spotting, it lasted 3 wipes and nothing since (I was 12 days from a period). Has anyone had this and it end up being implantation bleeding? I haven't had any other symptoms but hormonal headaches (like I had last month) and some hot flashes today at 7/8dpo.

I don't want to get my hopes up.

@Sae3005 heeey! I can’t really offer much use however I wanted to comment because I also had a chemical last month (for the first time)… if my calculations originally were wrong and I ovulated later which makes sense, I also have some spotting today which would be 7DPO (me working it out based on last months symptoms)… praying it’s our month! I was supposed to test on Xmas day - however I genuinely think my app is all wrong. I wasn’t able to test ovulation this month as we were on holiday… when are you set to test? Have you any children at present? Xx

Hey, I will be taking a test Christmas Day. I'll only be 9dpo but I don't want to have an alcoholic drink incase I am pregnant. I have 4 heaven side and 2 earth side, and I'm currently EBF. I keep having hot flashes and my boobs keep leaking but it could be anything.

@Sae3005 I think I’ll be joining you! I took one earlier Just in case however last month I had 2 negatives until just 2 days before official AF. I’m certain now that my app isn’t accurate so Xmas day AF isn’t what I’m expecting - perhaps a day or two later? Again basing it on my symptoms and how I felt and what happened at this stage last month - it’s pretty much mirror image. I hope it sticks this time if it is implantation today 😅 not quite sure but I never have bleeding before AF prior to last month and as I have endometriosis, normally before I have a period, I have incredible pains so it’s not that at the moment…

whats EBF if you don’t mind me asking? Lovely to hear you have children, I don’t have any at the moment. Sorry about the 4 that aren’t here xx

I'm not due till 3rd of January but I got a positive at 9dpo last cycle. I'm not feeling too hopeful but I never spot 11 days before a period.

EBF is exclusively breast feeding

@Sae3005 oh thanks for explaining!

last month I had negatives at 10 and 11 Dpo and a positive at 13 and 14 dpo which sadly ended in a chemical soon after 🙁 I’m resting still just because I’m mindful of Christmas approaching but more prepared for any chemicals this time around. It was my first and a bit of a shock!

wishing you the best of luck xx

Congratulations! Its still early too so keep testing every couple of days. I wanted to say I had same experience as you. I had a chemical last cycle with brown and pink spotting from 8dpo for 7 days before stopping for a couple of days then heavy bleeding.

This month we TTC straight away and I started spotting again from 5/6dpo for 5 days and I prepared myself for another chemical. It stopped and I got a dark BFP on 12dpo and so far its still dark and keeps progressing. I'm still only 4w4d though but really hoping it works out this time.

SillyOldBear3 · 27/12/2022 16:28

Congrats @Sae3005 and @MumOfOneInTown123 🎉 great to hear positive news post chemical! I also had a chemical earlier this month. It was my first pregnancy and came as a shock after a faint positive at 9dpo, a lovely dark line on a FR test at 13dpo but then heavy bleeding and negative at 17dpo.

Currently approaching ovulation and hoping for a sticky next month!! ❤️

Did you count the first day of bleeding as CD? And then did you ovulate when you expected to? Xx

MumOfOneInTown123 · 27/12/2022 16:43

Sorry about your loss @SillyOldBear3 :( I've heard lots of other positive stories straight after a chemical too and that you may even be more fertile after so hope it goes well for you as well! :) I ovulated around the same time CD16. Its the first cycle I used OPKs to track in case it was different. Overall though I DTD more the same week I would have normally! Yep count first day of bleeding as start of new cycle! Hope this one is a sticky one for you!

SillyOldBear3 · 27/12/2022 18:21

@MumOfOneInTown123 wishing you lots of luck too, sounds very promising this time with your lines progressing 😊

Thanks, this is good to know! I've heard lots of talk about increased fertility post chemical too! I'm 14dpo at the moment and usually ovulate 18dpo🤞

Did you do anything different this month? I have started taking B6 as I heard it can help with progesterone levels in luteal phase..

Keep us updated on your progress! ❤️

MumOfOneInTown123 · 27/12/2022 22:30

@SillyOldBear3 thank you!! I've gone a bit crazy with the testing though this time but so far the lines seem to be progressing well fingers crossed.

I didn't do anything different this cycle but definitely thought if another CP happened I would. I was concerned about the spotting before. B6 sounds like a good shout and worth trying. I was worried about progesterone so I will look into this as well.

I'll keep you posted. Goodluck to you too this cycle and let us know how you get on! :)

SillyOldBear3 · 27/12/2022 22:55

@MumOfOneInTown123 that's totally understandable, I would be the same if I got another positive!

I'm not sure if this is actually my 2nd chemical. Around 6 months ago I had a period that was a week late and very heavy, which is unusual for me. I didn't test then though, as we weren't really trying, so I can't be sure.

I'll let you know if B6 seems to make any difference! 🙂

Sae3005 · 28/12/2022 09:21

Hopefully this means I won't be having another chemical. My lines are progressing much better than last month and they're clear positives. I just have to get to 12 weeks now :)

@SillyOldBear3 thank you! Apparently chemicals are really common but most people don't realise. Wishing you all the luck this cycle!

@Sae3005 Congratulations! that's great the lines are progressing. Let us know how you get on :)

SillyOldBear3 · 28/12/2022 11:13

@Sae3005 Congrats! These lines are definitely progressing well! 🙂
