Hello ladies,

I just got my blood results back and it shows that I am Anaemic hb 113. I’m not sure if this is considered very low or moderate but it’s making me think whether it’s contributed to my not being able to conceive. I had a miscarriage on August so maybe that might have contributed to the low count?

I wanted to ask whether it is safe to take a high dosage of iron tablets (prescribed by doctor) and if this would affect my ttc?

Has anyone experienced anything similar?

I don’t know for 100% sure but tonnes are pregnant women are prescribed the 200mg ferrous sulphate tablets during pregnancy so it’s most likely fine.

The only drawback is that they can cause constipation - although they don’t for everyone.
