Hi all.
So bit of history - I’m currently ttc, have been trying for 2.5 years. I have had 4 miscarriages. Been to recurrent miscarriage clinic and all tests have come back normal apart from a slight abnormality of my uterus (arcuate uterus) but I’ve been told this does not cause problems with fertility, just means I need to be monitored during pregnancy to check for cervical length.
This month I felt some pain which I thought may be ovulation pain so I took an ovulation test (I normally take these every month but had been ill so didn’t take them as early as I usually do plus this happened on CD 15 , whereas the last two months I had been ovulating a bit later around CD 20/21) so anyway the ovulation test was positive right away. Me and my partner hadn’t baby danced at all but on the day I had the ovulation pain and positive ovulation test we had sex and then had sex again the following day.
so my question is, is there still a chance I could be pregnant or would it have been too late? Does anyone know what’s actually happening inside when ovulation pain occurs? I’m not sure whether the pain happens just before egg is released or if it’s already released. Also does anyone know how long it takes for the sperm to reach the egg? Sorry for all the questions I’ll just be so gutted if I missed a chance this month. I hardly ever get ovulation pain so it seemed like this month would’ve been a good chance of pregnancy!
