*Warning - Graphic image* Positive test (IC and FR) but watery bleeding for nearly a week

So this is frying my brain.

Been TTC over a year, got told a whole ago I likely had PCOS, still awaiting Gynae appt.

On Wednesday last week, I took an IC in the evening as I'd had some brown spotting, and a few episodes of watery red bleeding. I have got some lovely spots along my jawline and thrush under my boobs which is just as delightful.

Anyway, since the original positive (on an IC) I have had another 10 positives on IC over the days, including one First response test this morning.

The ICs are seemingly getting darker, of only slightly, and the FR came up with a decent line immediately.

The bleeding has continued, it stops and starts, no pain whatsoever, occasionally there is brown discharge, and occasionally nothing, or milky discharge. When it is blood, it's very watery.

I had Dr appt today, who examined my stomach and said he couldn't feel anything worrying, and he referred me for a scan before I'd even got to the appt!

My last period started on 25/11, so it's incredibly early days to be testing I know, especially early for a BFP.

Scan is on Thursday, I'm hoping they'll do bloods too.

Any insights at all anyone?

I've added pics of the bleeding, and a test.

Anyone?

I'm worried this is a sign of a chemical?

There's a chance it could be a chemical, but for some women they just have some bleeding in early pregnancy and nothing is wrong.
With the scan, you won't see anything pregnancy-related as it'll be too small to show up, but they can at least rule out anything nasty causing it.

Keeping fingers crossed for you that it's just some early pregnancy bleeding and it'll stop soon x

I had this with my last pregnancy I bled quite a bit and everything was ok it doesn’t look like bright red blood x

Puzzledstill · 19/12/2022 21:31

And no pain is good I’ve suffered two MC and it hurt real bad x

WinterNipsicles · 19/12/2022 21:31

I didn't think anything would be viewable on the scan, I think the Dr has asked for it more to check there's no ectopic pregnancy going on.

I only went because I was hoping for bloods so at least I'd know what I was working with .

Thank you so much for replying!

How many weeks could you be? x

WinterNipsicles · 19/12/2022 21:33

Thank you!

It's watery enough that I can feel it coming, definitely not like a period though. Hoping it's the same as what you had then.

So sorry for your losses. ❤️

Have you got BEP clinic near you? x

WinterNipsicles · 19/12/2022 21:36

Only around three, not many at all!

Last period was 25/11 - 2/12. Though the end was mostly brown blood. I'm not sure when I ovulated this month, as this was the month I tried not to obsess 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

OP posts:
WinterNipsicles · 19/12/2022 21:36

Not sure what that is, I'll have a Google! X

It’s bleeding in early pregnancies I live in Liverpool and they have a clinic for emergencies no matter how far along you are, maybe look what’s available where your from you could potentially get seen to tomorrow if you call them early x

WinterNipsicles · 19/12/2022 21:40

Nope, none near me.

Scan is at Early pregnancy assessment unit on Thursday, but I'm so worried I won't even get to that.

If I do, I'll definitely ask for bloods, that was what I was hoping for today at GP, but he has made the appt before I even got there today. Spoke to him on the phone, explained about the tests and bleeding and he asked me to go in for examination. Felt my stomach, said he couldn't feel anything untoward, and that he'd made me a scan appt on Thursday, that's was it.

Just rest and take things easy it’s a scary time when this happened to me but all was well, do you normally suffer with pain doting your period? x

I really hope all goes well for you, keeping everything crossed x

WinterNipsicles · 19/12/2022 21:48

Normally I do yes, I get awful cramps and fairly heavy bleeding. Periods are generally quite regular too which has surprised Drs due to the PCOS diagnosis.

I do not want to worry you but I had this and had an ectopic. No pains until the day it burst and I had to have emergency surgery.

But! I also had bleeding with my two pregnancies; as I had a cervical erosion. So fingers crossed for you x

WinterNipsicles · 19/12/2022 21:57

Thanks for your reply, I appreciate the insight whether it positive or not!

Would an ectopic be picked up on a scan this early do you think? I'm estimating myself to be little over 3weeks.

Tmi, but was your bleeding similar to mine then?
X

I’m guessing theyl know if it’s ectopic on Thursday…. Rest rest rest x

WinterNipsicles · 19/12/2022 22:03

I'll try! I have 2 DC , both of which are embracing the winter germs at the moment so I'm up and down doing Calpol and cuddles 😂

Just tomorrow to get through then hopefully I'll know more.

Had cramp like period pains and what I presumed was a period- we were not ttc so I didn’t worry and just thought it was an actual period. It was a surprise pregnancy and progressed as normal after the first six weeks. Cramps continued which was unnerving, but no further blood as pregnancy developed.
