Folic acid and periods

Hi all, cycles have been so messed up and long recently. For example my last period started 17th October. A million BFN so know I’m not pregnant. Before my last period I have a cycle of 45 days. Been racking my brains and realised the only difference is I’ve been taking 400mg of folic acid since mid June, which is when my periods started messing up!
could this be why? Has anyone else experienced this?

No.
I don’t think that folic acid has any hormonal properties and cannot influence periods at all.
Happy to be corrected though !
