7 DPO pain on one side

Hi all sorry I am panicking a little bit.

I am 7DPO had IUI last Saturday. Now I’ve got intermittent sharp pain in my abdomen but it’s only on the right side.

Google seems to suggest it’s too early for symptoms of an ectopic… but could this be what it is?

Has anyone had any experience of this kind of pain?

Are you certain that you've ovulated already? I often get pain at the side which is releasing, when ovulating.

You might be ovulating OP. I always get an intensive side stitch when ovulating.

I had this at 9dpo. Very strong sharp pain on one side (right too) tested with a strong positive the next day. I can't help but think that was implantation pain.

My hgc was very strong from then. Nausea even before my missed period and intense abdominal pain for 6 weeks. I had to go for an early pregnancy scan at 6w to make sure it wasn't ectopic. Was all fine.

I had an ectopic in the summer ... I had sharp pain on right side on 5dpo which I thought at the time was implantation.
2 weeks later I found out my pregnancy was ectopic so it was implantation what I had felt but ever so slightly higher than it should have been as it was embedding in my tube.

Thanks all. Pain has subsided for now but as it’s a possible ectopic I will let nurses know. I really don’t think it could be ovulation as I have been carefully monitored for the IUI including blood tests as well as medication to ‘boost’ ovulation so the likelihood is very low. Really appreciate the advice. Fingers crossed for implantation of non ectopic or just pulled a muscle or something.

I had an ectopic and I found the pain was really low down in my groin. This was accompanied light brown bleeding, and bloated stomach. Then as time went on it progressed to horrendous pain in like sudden bursts and an inability to pass urine.

Your def doing right thing getting checked. I ignored symptoms for weeks and by the time I went to a and e I was able to tell them exactly what was happening cos I'd googled all my symptoms but it was too late and my tube ruptured in hospital so I lost it. If its ectopic and they find out soon enough they can hopefully avoid surgery.

I really hope that this isn't what happening with you. Good luck

How are you getting on @Alysskea?

allgoodthings84 · 03/12/2022 09:33

I had stitch like pains on one side around 7dpo both times I got bfp. They both ended in chemicals/early miscarriages unfortunately but that’s another issue I think which I’m being referred to specialists for and nothing to do with the pains at that time

hey all, sorry for anticlimactic update - I am not pregnant and have no idea what caused the pain. I suppose at least there’s no ectopic.
