Hi,

just wondering if I can get some advice/comfort or success stories, I’m 22 been ttc one month so far however tried for several months 2 years ago and was unsuccessful, I experience ovulation pain that feels like a stitch for around 24hrs, I have always had heavy periods however they are regular and have recently been experiencing one sided hip pain when AF arrives, I have been back and forth to doctors for years about ov pain as it has always worried me and I finally have been referred for ultrasounds to see if anything is wrong or if I have endometriosis/cysts etc I’m so worried about what is to come has anyone else been in a similar situation and been able to conceive fine? tia x

I had severe endo ending in a hysterectomy but I've got 2 children and I fell pregnant with one on contraception. My endo did get worse after each child though. Sending you all the luck :)

Hey, thought I’d post / follow this thread as I’m in a similar boat. I have had suspected endo since I was 16, I’m 31 now. Only been TTC for 7/8 months so far. Currently on NHS waiting list for laparoscopy to confirm endometriosis, previously docs have just used hormone treatments to ease my symptoms of endo but TTC now so no more pills or coils. Endo is unlikely to be picked up on ultrasound scan but it is good to find cysts or polyps etc, good luck with your ultrasound scan

Hello @lilly678, I wanted to post as I've also asked in a few different forums about this topic and haven't had much luck. I have endo, confirmed via laparascopy 5 years ago, and have conceived easily twice - the first I terminated, and my second (very much wanted) pregnancy unfortunately ended in a MC 6 weeks ago (but there's nothing to say this was related to my endo). And just to offer an alternative to a PP, my friend has fibroids and endo and says her endo has improved loads since her pregnancies - so I think it really can go either way, and unfortunately there's sometimes no rhyme no reason! Hope this helps to allay your concerns, or at least gives you a bit more info at a worrying time. Wishing you all the luck.

Hello,

I just want to let you ladies know there's places you can go to get surgery for endometriosis.
The doctor who performed surgery on me (a team of 5 doctors) work in Romania and treat patients from all around the world.
I shared my 5 days in the hospital with a lovely girl from Dublin.
Google Doctor Gabriel Mitroi or find his page on Facebook and you will get all the details.

You can't get pregnant with ends, I'm sorry. And if not removed, it only grows. There's no hormonal therapy for it.
He saw me in January, told me to do a pelvic endo MRI and I went into surgery in March. 2 weeks later I was brand new. I don't even feel when my period comes now.

I know the waiting time to be diagnosed wit endo in UK is around 7 years.
Don;t wait, the biggest problem is we think we have time...

monicaandchandler · 25/11/2022 16:24

@alexalexalex18 clearly you can get pregnant with endo as I fell pregnant twice so...

alexalexalex18 · 25/11/2022 21:57

@monicaandchandler
You can yes, there’s different stages of endo and it depends where it’s located. Mine was on my intestine.

The point is endo can’t be treated and it considerably diminishes pregnancy chances. You’re insanely lucky!

Hello!
hoping this may help someone too…

I suffered horrendous periods from the age of 14… knew something wasn’t right but didn’t really query anything until myself and partner (ex) were trying and I just knew in my gut it was endo. After a year TTC, they followed up on my endo suggestion seriously and I had a lap scheduled. During this time my 9 year relationship broke down… Consultant said it’s unlikely I have endo before the lap and boom - guess what, endo!
had to wait around 18 months for surgery (my endo was severe and an ovary attached to the wall of my womb) … long story short I’m now in a very happy relationship with the love of my life. I wasn’t certain the op would have worked (after the original investigation the same consultant said I’d likely need IVF) … but today had a BFP after 4 months of trying 🥰

in totality I’ve tried over 2.5 years - but it was only after the op that anything has happened. That being said, my sister has endo (diagnosed the same time as me) and she has a healthy 8 year old so there really is no rhyme or rhythm xx wishing you best of luck! Ask if anything further xx

Yolo23 · 25/11/2022 22:05

I’m 30 now and this was all happening around 25ish if I remember 😬🥰

yeswedo · 25/11/2022 22:08

Yeah I had surgery for endo, worked a treat… no pain!!

then tried 7 months TTC and miscarried :(
Then 5 months ttc til I fell with baby 1
2months ttc til baby 2.

Much less bother these days :)

Hi ladies,
Today I received news following my recent ultrasound that I have most likely an endometrioma on my ovary and fluid in my pelvis suggestive of endometriosis.

Next step is a gynaecology app to discuss what to do, assuming laparoscopy.

I just wondered if there was anyone in this group whose been/going through a similar situation TTC. I’ve had one MMC and a chemical pregnancy. Nothing for 8 months now.

thanks x

Just wondered how you are doing as I just had the same diagnosis? Hope you got the right medical care

@alexalexalex18 what utter shite your talking

Appreciate this is an old post, but if you are still in search for support… i am 37 been diagnosed with stage 4 endo (very heavily spread). Only diagnosed after 14 years of going doctors who kept telling me i was fine. Never got pregnant before. A surgeon suspected endo, put me on hysteroscopy, found a lot of patches all over the insides and removed them. Got pregnant naturally 3 months later, baby is due in 3 months :) yes, hysteroscopy does in a lot of cases, perform magic to fertility
