Fertility Clinic Ladies

Hi,
Just wondering if there was anyone else here currently going through fertility investigations or treatments, or just thinking about going seeking fertility advice.

Currently I've had a consultation with the fertility specialist, had 2 blood tests (results pending) to see if I'm ovulating and to see if my hormones are the right levels, tomorrow I'm back at the hospital to drop off my SO's sample and to have a HSG (for anyone that doesn't know what this is, it's basically an x-ray of the womb).
Not going to lie, I'm a bit nervous!
Anyone else had a HSG? Any tips?

Would love to hear about anyone else's journey with fertility specialists etc. plus create a space to vent about any issues that come with TTC

Hi, I am at a similar stage to you by the sounds of it. We are having initial investigations done by the GP so we can get a referral to a fertility clinic. We have both had blood tests done which were fine for DP but I had elevated prolactin levels but I don't know how much of an issue that is - apparently being stressed about the blood test can contribute to that so that might explain it... DP took a sample for analysis but has been called back this week to do it again but no one would tell us why so we're a bit worried about that.

How did you get on with your HSG last week? I hope it went well!

@Ihatethinkingofusernamez HSG went well, all good, no blockages. However it's not the most pleasant of experiences! If you have to have one I would definitely recommend taking some painkillers beforehand, it's pretty uncomfortable! Must admit seeing what I look like on the inside is pretty interesting though.
Haven't heard anything about bloods or DP's sample yet but have another appointment with the specialist on the 14th December, so hopefully will have results then x
