Is this implantation bleed or period - PIC ATTACHED

My period is due in a few days but it's irregular so maybe it has come early. I have just had some really sharp twinges and when I went to the loo there is pinky / watery blood with a tiny speck of dark. Yesterday I had more "normal" cramps, like mild period pain. The twinges have stopped now. Totally freaking out, could this be implanting or is it a chemical pregnancy or ???? The photo makes it look more pink than it is but it is very light. There is also a bit of dark brown blood but not a lot.

Implantation bleeding isn’t super common (only about a quarter of pregnancies have IB) so there’s really no way to tell. Sometimes we just get weird spotting and overthink everything. I am the same … luckily I don’t often spot, but when I do, I always think it’s bfp on the way. 🫣 Well, it’s been almost two years and no bfp yet.

if you want to know for sure, you will have to test or wait if af shows full on.

I've not tested yet. I am generally a total POAS addict so this time round (unfortunately one of many!) I was trying to be a bit more chill and wait till my period was late before testing. It is 28 days exactly from day 1 of my last cycle 😖 if I test now, and I'm pregnant it would definitely be positive because it's the implanting that makes the hormone. I feel like maybe I won't test, because that way I can pretend I am pregnant for a tiny bit longer 😪💔

@FairyAntiBax it looks like a period to me but since this was a couple of days ago now, I assume you've tested abd know one way or the other?

Looks like implanting bleeding I think. Tests won't necessarily show up for a few days / a week yet. I had this about 6 days before my bfp x good luck!

I tested positive but then kept bleeding! There was more pink when I wiped the next morning, that was when I got the bfp. But then I just got a super-heavy period and really really bad period pains. I'm absolutely gutted and bewildered. I don't think a pregnancy could survive such heavy flow; it says online that implantation bleeding is not dark red, nor does it have clots and that is what I've had for last few days. My boobs have stopped hurting now and the weird taste has gone from my mouth also.

It's heartbreaking @FairyAntiBax! 💔 I know from personal experience how exciting those early days and weeks are after fining out, only for it to be torn away, which just feels so cruel. If it helps, after my loss I found out I was pregnant just 4 weeks later. I know it doesn't take the pain off the loss away, but it can happen quickly after so that's something to stay focused on, if you're ready to try again. Sending lots of baby dust to you for whenever you feel ready to try again 💖🌈

Thank you! This pregancy hasn't been the easiest with lots of spotting (including bright red) but had a couple of early scans and all seemed well. I have my 12 week scan on Friday so hoping my little one is still ok in there!! It definitely becomes more worrisome after a loss but hoping mine is now a success story and I really hope you gets yours soon too! 💖

Could this be implantation bleeding? I’m not due my period for 5 days yet and each day for the past 3 days I’ve had some spotting. Today a little more than the others. Does this look like implantation bleeding or the start of my period? Although I’ve never had spotting before my period, I usually just come on heavy.

I think what I read online is that implantation bleeding does happen a few days before your period, and that it's either brown or pink (not like red period). From the photos this doesn't look bright red and the timing would work for it being implantation; I am sending you lots of luck and baby dust xx

Hi I had my last depo march 6th this year
I knw it takes a while for body to go back to normal obviously I haven't had a period
Me and my partner have been having regular sex the past week or so I've been feeling really sick and had period like cramps and my breasts have been really itchy and felt a little heavy and sore
I did a pregnancy test 3 days ago it was negative my ovulation levels have been really low too However when i went to toilet yesterday and wiped there was a pinkish mark on the tissue but no actual bleeding 😐

what's that mean like pink or red or else spotting?
