RHR dip a sign of implantation or AF?

Hey everyone!

I'm 9dpo and my heart rate has been rising since ovulation day! One beat every two days.

I think I ovulated on the first of November, (had r really slippery cm but it was two days after Flo app predicted but I think it was this day as my last pregnancy I ovulated a bit later too!) I'll attach the charts below.

Today my rhr has dropped a beat! Is this a bad or a good sign. I took a test and got a bfn this morning but not bothered as I know it's so early and knew it was coming anyway!

Could this be implantation day? Or a sign AF is on route 🙄

Sorry I'm not able to add a photo no idea why?

For the last 6 months or so My rhr has been 65 almost every day except for an odd day 66 or 64 . Then as of ovulation on the first of November it has gone

Ovulation 65bpm
2dpo 66 BPM
3dpo 67
4dpo 67
5dpo. 68
6dpo. 68
7dpo 69
8dpo 69

Today at 9dpo 68

Thanks everyone 🙂

I follow my RHR but a dip for me in LP doesn’t necessarily mean anything. It can go up or down for more reasons that just our cycle. Mine dipped last cycle at 10dpo and I was pregnant (unfortunately ended in an early miscarriage) then this cycle it dipped at 6/7dpo and I’m not pregnant. I’m 10dpo and my spotting started yesterday so know I’m not pregnant as when I was I didn’t have this spotting. So you may or may not be pregnant but I wouldn’t say the dip in RHR means anything.

my RHR always starts to go down between 2 days before AF and 2 days after AF so I can’t even get excited if it doesn’t drop before AF 😂

When I got my bfp I had a large dip on the day I'm sure I implanted, lots of sharp pains felt, but the next day it shot back up again and then continued to increase x

Thank you for your reply I'm so sorry to hear about your early miscarriage ❤️❤️❤️

You never know spotting could mean something else it's not over until af shows up properly! Fingers crossed 🤞

When I'm following my HR it never ever changes. Until ovulation day this month. But I never really realised I could use it in relation to TTC. I traced back through months and months and I've never had a rise like this it's always at 65 throughout my whole cycle , so was hoping it could be a sign but I'm fairly new to it all so I'm not sure 🤔

Oh that's so good to hear!! Congrats on your BFP!!!

Was it rising before you implanted and dipped?

Or your usual rhr?

Rhr and core temp always rise after ovulation due to progesterone. It's not so to see a rise in rhr after ovulation. It will start to gradually decrease though in the days before af as the progesterone reduces. If you are pregnant it stays high x

sarahc336 · 10/11/2022 13:15

Hi yes it raised after ovulation then rapidly dipped then went back up I'll try find a photo, it was 2 years ago now though 😂

Here's it on my watch

RHR dip a sign of implantation or AF?
allgoodthings84 · 10/11/2022 13:31

@Irishwifey thank you. I always spot a few days before AF but didn’t last cycle when I got pregnant so think it’s a definite early sign that I’m out for me unfortunately

I also know for 100% that the dip isn’t progesterone related (for me anyway) as I had my progesterone tested at 7dpo (one of the days of the dip) and the results were high - even higher than it was at 6dpo last cycle when it didn’t dip at that stage.

Thank you so much guys that's all very interesting I don't know too much about all of this yet and just linked my rhr only a day or two ago and never saw it rise ever after ovulation so hopefully this is a good sign!!! It's so good to hear all types of experiences!

Hey all I'm back on with an update that my rhr seems to have dropped another beat today at 10dpo.

I've had really bad lower back pain last night and this morning (I never have this before AF) and cramping, so I suppose Ill wait and see. Negative test on a pound shop cheapie strip.

I would say I think I'm out cos I feel crampy and rotten and my rhr has gone down, but I wrote myself off for the same thing on my last pregnancy and thought my period was coming and it never came, so I dunno. Maybe I'm going crazy !

Any thoughts?
