Faint positive after period, or a bad evap?

Hello. TTC no 2. Had a short light period and am now theoretically CD7. So I think maybe 20dpo?

I've been having some strangely dark OPKs. Not dye stealers. Just like 50-60%.

Just did a crappy Morrisons test and got this.

Have also bought some FRERs but won't be as to use for a few hours now I guess.

If it's positive, it's not very impressive for 20ish dpo is it? 🫤

Will update later but if anyone has experience of the £3.50 Morrisons test, were they reliable? Evap-y?

I don't think I could have ovulated late... actually we didn't DTD between ov and af anyway.

It could be that what you thought was your period was implantation bleeding? That could explain why the line is faint as it only starts to double normally after this has occurred so would still be fairly low for hcg tests to pick up. Fingers crossed for you x

Hello @CTommo thank you. Yes ... I'm not really sure. We didn't DTD between my positive OPK and what I thought was AF. So I must have ovulated fairly soon after the OPK.

I had a BFN at 12dpo, then some spotting at 13dpo which turned into a light 'period' for 3 days.

I guess if I ovulated a couple of days late, and some of DPs sperm were still happily swimming about in there and then I also implanted quite late it could at a stretch be an implantation bleed. But it was bright red blood enough to use a tampon, although not filling the tampons as they usually would.

I'd say what's going on is that you are pregnant!!! 😁😁

That line has definitely got darker, so for the moment at least, I think it looks like good news!

They look to be getting darker though, I think you just have your dates wrong/ovulated later then you thought

The last time we had sex was the 18th Oct. I had a positive OPK, but maybe i actually ovulated a few days later and there was some sperm left...

No, my partner is with my little boy at home, but I've a few friends sending messages. I'm ok, just a shock. Sad not to be with my toddler, I've never left him before.

@Chica1990 hmm yes I saw another thread pop up yesterday with v similar - period then BFP. thought I'd say get your bloods checked with your GP. Seems common in ectopic, from my Mumsnet research. If I remember I might ask the Dr if it's common?
