Hi ladies,

This is my first ever thread and I just need a little bit of help and advise I have recently come off Cezzette mini pill after a while of being on it and other pills im 32. I come off it at the end of oct, me and my boyfriend have been having unprotected sex around and after this date and I know it’s only been a week since coming off but on the 4th Nov I had a spot of blood which I assumed was my withdrawal bleed. The 5th Nov I seen a shooting star which is supposedly fertility luck (I hope) so since the spot of blood I have been having really sticky clear discharge constantly to this day and alot of it there is no smell to it but last night there was this jelly like discharge hanging out of me with blood in which looked like egg whites, I’m quite concerned and have read stories on here but nothing like this. I feel tired I have sensitive nipples ovary pain on one side, cramps and feel so bloated, my ribs hurt and I’ve done two pregnancy tests which both came back negative but I assume it’s too early? Do you think I could be pregnant within a week or would this be too early or could I be ovulating or is this too early I’m very confused with my body atm. I did an ovulating strip last night 7th Nov and have a faded line witch also means negative. I don’t want to waste docs time if this is normal after coming off the pill but it’s just making me worry its something more serious?

Please help, thanks N x

you've been off the pill for a very short time and it can take up to 1 year for your body and cycles to fully settle after coming off the pill. you're getting lots of symptoms of different things because your hormones are no longer being controlled by the pill, things are just 'getting going' again. I've just finished my first cycle off the pill and I also had strange aches and pains and cervical mucus at different times throughout cycle. if you went to the doctors now you would be wasting their time I'm afraid as they would say something along the lines of 'periods should re-establish properly in 3-6 months and it can take up to 12 months for some people to get back to normal'. You've just got to wait it out I'm afraid but tracking all these things on a period app would be helpful and that's what I've been doing.

Hi hun, yeah I think you’re right I called the docs today who got the Pharmacists to call as there was no appointments left, and she was very reassuring saying this seems normal when coming off this pill, and I explained about the faded line she told me to test again on Friday but I did another ovulation test after work and was very clear I didn’t realise I would ovulate so soon without a normal period? I know my periods will be all over for a few months as expected but when would you say to test again if I’m ovulating now and had unprotected sex? It’s hard to tell when my period is supposed to actually be? So when would be the earliest to do a pregnancy test? Thanks x
