so if you were thinking of ttc what would you start/stop doing?

not obviously as were ttc,were just talking about itmaybe one day!

dd and ds1 were happy suprises so never 'tried' or 'prepared' ds2 was planed but i think within 2 months of ttc was pregnant.what things should i think about,start,stop if thinking of ttc ?

take folic acid
stop smoking/drugs/excess booze

obviously stop smoking and taking recreational drugs. (both of you).
start folic acid.
have sex twice a week, every week.
i also got my man zinc tablets! (supposedly good for sperm production).
but i think the regular sex is most important.
its also probably not the best idea to get so bladdered that you cant remember how you got home...

Start-having sex like rabbits again (i don't mean wearing fluffy suits and ears).
Stop-bunjee jumping (only joking!)

Ah, but nobodysfool. I think that wearing a bunny suit like those playmates wear would be very conductive in the ttc business in this house

prepare yourself for the fact it may take some time. the fact you have even started this thread shows how broody you are! why are you waiting?

I'd take folic acid and have lots of sex.

waiting as were undecided on 4th child but both thinking we will.also as ive had 3csections.last one 2 years ago and gp has said to wait 3 years so everything has time to heal in and out.i had bladder damage with last one which is fine now but the risks worry us although consultant seems positive about 4th

i really don't see what difference one year will make after 2.

i had a section and bladder damage 4 years ago and finding it really hard to conceive. you will probably get pregnant first pop but just in case, do factor in that it may difficult this time.

god i am soo gloomy, but i waited and now wish i had just gone for it sooner.

really!did you recover fully?mine was that they tore my bladder during op and i had to have bag for ten days after they stichted it up.hadnt even thought it might effect ttc.how many csections have youhad?
sorry its taking a longer time than youd thought.i will mention this too dh as i know he doesnt want to leave it too long as he feels at 42 hes too old,ive told him hes not!

i don't know if it affects ttc but something is not working quite as it was.

bladder thing sounds the same as yours recovered really well but the bag thing will live with me!

honestly not trying to scare you but you did ask what folk would do. if i do get pregnant again dh have decided to go at it as soon as possible straight afterwards as we really want 3.

its ok-i do want advice.i know i was extremly lucky that i got pregnant so quickly with 3 dc.

i didnt mind the wee bag!was over xmas 05 though so all xmas pics im wearing long skirts!and dd and ds1 loved the fact i could wee standing up!
