If ovulation is late, will EWCM also arrive later?

Hi all, I’m just wondering. If your ovulation arrived later than usual then would your EWCM arrive later in your cycle than normal too?

Also, if you have had a few days of EWCM but then ovulation didn’t follow (I know this happens sometimes), then would you get another few days of EWCM later in your cycle when your body tries ovulation again?

This is what seems to be happening for me.
Cd 11-13 I had ewcm and ovulation pain, cramps, bloating flashing smiley on clearblue test. Bug never any LH at all - no second line ever appeared on opk strips. No bbt shift, so pretty dure I didn't ovulate.

Now (cd 20) the ewcm is back and this time a decent line on opk strips. So it looks like my body is going to have a second attempt to ovulate. Hooray!

My EWCM started on CD10 and I’m now CD14. Usually today would be the latest day for my peak opk but I don’t think it’s going to be happening based on my opk this morning. It was rising then I got poorly for 48 hours and it stopped getting darker. I still have EWCM though so not sure if it’s just still going to try again. It’s never started to get darker then stop before (I usually surge quickly) but it will be either because I was poorly before I ovulated or because of my early miscarriage a couple weeks ago or a bit of both. It’s driving me mad as we have been dtd every other day since CD8 and it’s hard going with a 7 year old in the house 😂. I’m hoping it happens soon.

It's quite an effort, keeping up all this dtd, when the flashing smileys go on for so long! I began to feel sorry for my poor, overworked dh after 8 consecutive flashing days....
