Slow FRER line progression? 17dpo (ish!)

Waaa! I’m in a bit of a horrible limbo at the moment with progression lines and just want some honest perspective please.

This will be my second pregnancy. With my daughter I had really good, strong line progression from 8dpo and at 16dpo I stopped testing as I got a dye stealer quickly.

This time around I’ve got pretty slow progression lines and the past two days it looks like it’s getting lighter.

Not sure exactly when I ovulated but tests from top to bottom in my picture were with fmu and are roughly:

First 9/10dpo. (Thursday 20th)
Second 10/11dpo (Friday 21st)
Third 13/14dpo (Sunday 23rd)
Fourth 14/15dpo (Monday 24th) - af due
Fifth 15/16dpo (yesterday 25th)
Sixth 16/17dpo (today 26th)

Comparing Monday to this mornings test and today it’s definitely lighter - would expect much darker at 17dpo? I’ve had a belly ache since about 6dpo (so 11 days now). Boobs aren’t sore at all, although I can’t remember when they started being sore when I was pregnant with my daughter.

Not feeling hopeful! Also annoyingly with 1-4 I had 3am toilet wake ups and then yesterday and today I slept all the way through the night so I’m not sure if that will have affected the hcg concentration in my wee (wonder if 1-4 were more concentrated after going to the loo at 3am and not drinking anything at all until I woke up, vs glass of water before bed the past 2 nights and then retaining that until I woke up - if this makes sense?)

Anyway, I know I’m going to just have to wait it out and I’m bracing myself for a chemical but would like some advice from anyone who has experienced the same!

Thanks 💜

Hello, I wanted to reply as I spent lots of time looking for similar advice
on threads early in the year.

From my own experience of an early pregnancy loss this is how my tests looked.
My clear blue didn’t progress past 1-2weeks.
I just had a feeling something was off. Initially I got a strong positive on FRER at 12dpo then it started to get lighter.
I bled at 4+6wks.😔

Im really hoping that things are different for you 🤞🏻
wishing you all the very best

I'm really sorry, but these look like my tests from one of my chemicals earlier this year. They stayed like this for about 2 weeks xx

@TinyPuds , it’s similar to how my last 2 chemicals looked unfortunately 😔😔it’s good to be prepared but you never know, maybe in your case it’s just to do with urine concentration. The best thing to do would be to get your blood HCG levels tested as they would give you a definite answer.

allgoodthings84 · 26/10/2022 17:17

I really hope it’s better news for you but looks like mine did when I have an early loss 2 weeks ago 😞.

Mydoggosarethebest · 26/10/2022 22:26

Sorry to say but I agree with the other posters, this is how my pregnancy tests looked when I had chemical pregnancies. There is still a chance everything will be ok but I don't want to give you false hope x

TinyPuds · 26/10/2022 22:26

Thanks girls - sorry to hear you’ve all had chemicals 😔 it’s a strange one isn’t it because it’s such early days but the emotional side of it is strong already! I have a gut feeling it’s going the wrong way for me and I’ve accepted it’s probably going to happen now - but I’m glad I’ve tested so much 🙈! If I had stopped testing after the weekend I’d be blissfully unaware it was starting to drop off (although something doesn’t feel right anyway with all this cramping and my lower back is so achey so I think my intuition might’ve told me otherwise) but yeah, and Id be in the same position if I’d just waited until my missed period.

Did anybody find their next period/cycle was messed up?

Xx

@TinyPuds Hopefully it’s not the case for you. It might be early days but it’s still hard.

I’m interested in replied about the following cycle too as I’m now CD10 after my loss and going by CM and todays OPK it’s not going to be in the next few days. I usually ovulate CD12-15. Maybe it will be 14/15 but I have a feeling it may be later

Jendy87 · 27/10/2022 06:46

Hey ladies, so sorry you are going this. It’s so awful 😞
My bleed after the early loss was heavy and cramps were strong for a few days.
presumably because my lining had become much thicker with the pregnancy.I had a
longer cycle after this loss and ovulated around day 29 - according to natural cycles.
I suffer with luteal phase spotting and this phase was shorter this cycle too.
Im now undergoing some fertility treatments to correct this 🤞🏻🤞🏻

HJA87 · 27/10/2022 12:59

@allgoodthings84 ive had 3 early losses now and usually my ovulation is not affected. If I count the first day of MC bleed as CD 1 then my ovulation came 16-18 DPO which is within the normal range for me. Having said that, I’m currently on CD12 after my 3rd chemical and clear blue is still showing the empty circle whereas normally it starts flashing on CD10 so maybe this time it will be delayed.

allgoodthings84 · 27/10/2022 13:09

@HJA87 I’m so sorry you’ve had 3 losses 😞. Have they started looking into it? I’m hoping next time it sticks but took us 5 cycles to get pregnant in the first place. Hopefully will mean ovulation soon for me then as I’m CD11 now and it’s usually CD12-15. Definitely won’t be tomorrow as opk’s still mega faint yesterday evening but could be towards the CD14/15 as I surge pretty quickly. Thank you for replying

HJA87 · 27/10/2022 13:41

@allgoodthings84 thank you 😔yes, the GP will be referring me to a specialist but after my second loss I decided to see someone privately and currently waiting for some test results so hopefully I’ll hopefully I’ll know the cause soon. Hoping you’ll get your peak soon!
