Clearblue digital OPK missed my peak?

I’ve been using the Clearblue 2 day fertile window digital OPK every couple of months or so, to get an idea of ovulation day.

this month, it looks like they have missed my peak as I haven’t had a static smiley, just empty circles, but based on the lines, I’ve had two clearly peak days, and then it dropped back down that afternoon and two mornings after.

Comparing the first photo (this month) to the second photo (September tests) this months test line is quite clearly darker than even last months peak, and it’s two mornings in a row.

has anyone had a digital opk miss their peak? Does it mean I’ve had a rapid surge? Never missed a static smiley before. TTC nearly 2 years so thought I was a dab hand at this haha

I’ve never seen someone open them and put them into Premom before, can they be read like a normal cheap opk?

I gave up with clear blue after one month though, so I’m no expert with it. Easy@home and the Premom app and measuring bbt gave me a lot more information than a flashing/static smiley face did.

Have you considered measuring bbt? It requires taking your temp at around 6am (give or take before you get out of bed/drink water etc). But it confirms if ovulation occurred when the temp increases and stays high for three days. It helped me to know I ovulated after the opk peak. Also the graphs are interesting to see.

Technically the lines are not to be read or used in the Premom app (I score them myself based on it being an empty circle, static smiley)
but there is always a trend with what the lines do, so the darker the line on the left, that has always indicated increasing LH and ends in a static smiley. So I record them as I do just to ‘get and idea’ but don’t really rely on it too much.

I’ve used Easy@home for a few months too, but I hated having to limit my water intake to ensure my wee wasn’t too diluted, as I drink a lot of water. Plus it was just all too much testing.

I had thought about tracking BBT. I’ve always avoided doing things too much as all signs show I ovulate, and DP and I don’t want regimented sex slots for want of a better phrase! All doctor tests show I ovulate too, I guess I use these to keep myself occupied ans give myself an idea of when to engineer the sec slots!

@whomoon I know the easy@home test says that you should test in mid- late-morning but same as you, I can't hold for too long and always worried about the urine being too dilute. So I just do them in the morning with my first urine (even though it does say somewhere that this is not recommended), but it seems to work for me and I can see the progression clearly.

I got a high reading today on easy@home and then use CB OPK to confirm and got a static smiley straighaway. This seems to indicate that I will ovulate in the next 24-48 hours, but for me it doesn't matter, it just means I will DTD every day for the next 2-3 days!
