What cycle day did you ovulate when you conceived?

The joys of TTC mean you find yourself asking all kinds of questions. My cycle is generally 31-35 days after losing two stone which has helped regulated them. As I lost more weight the ovulation day went down from CD22 to last month where it was CD17 and I got pregnant (then an early miscarriage) 😪

My head is wondering if I got pregnant because it was a closer ovulation day so that's where I thought I'd ask... what day in your cycle to you ovulate when you got pregnant? 🤔 Also, did the pregnancy go to term please x

The ‘typical’ day 14 of ovulation only works for a small percentage. I think what matters more is that you have an ok luteal phase length. If you measure ovulation, then see when AF occurs and that length is your luteal phase.

I have ~31 day cycles, ovulate ~day 19. So my luteal phase is about 12/13 days. I used opk and bbt to track ovulation after the first miscarriage.

I can’t say anything about going to term because I’m still on number 1. I conceived once in Feb, I can’t say the day because it was directly after the mini pill and it ended in a miscarriage- stopped growing at 6weeks. In August I ovulated slightly later on day 24 of my cycle and I conceived that cycle. I’m now 11 weeks. At the start of that cycle I had a raised lymph node in my neck for a few days, so it might have been the reason for my delay.

Thank you @Blue2020 that's a huge help. I've ovulated on CD22 for a few months and I made me start to wonder if that's too late but clearly yours is absolutely fine 🥰 congratulations. My Luteal is around 13/15 days x

I just got my BFP yesterday, so obviously can't say whether it's going to be a successful pregnancy or not yet. But I have 35 day cycles, and I ovulated on day 21 if that helps Smile

Yaaaaaaay congratulations @timotam ! That's fab news to know it's CD21 too. I've always worried whether it being a good few days after the average whether it's as common so this is great. Fingers crossed for a sticky bean for you ♥️ x

Day 21-24 we think for me. I didn't track and no idea if that is normal or my covid jab messed with my cycle.

Cd 20 with my little boy, now ttc #2 and they’re all over the place after coming off the pill again. According to the research I did there’s a higher chance of miscarriage if you implant late so you still don’t have a bfp by like 12dpo. I got mine at 12dpo and all was fine with him but I don’t think ovulation date affects it so much

CD17 - DS
CD15 - MC

allgoodthings84 · 22/10/2022 15:35

I ovulated CD14 last cycle when I conceived but sadly it didn’t stick so I don’t think the day you ovulate matters so much

MrsAlexander · 23/10/2022 10:04

Thanks for that @Bells3032 - congratulations! I have heard the jab can mess with things x

That's interesting @Sparklythings1 - with the early MC a few weeks ago I had a faint positive at 9 DPO but it's something I'll look into definitely x

That's really helpful @polkadotpixie - sorry to read about the MC. I've definitely learnt from this thread that it's a pretty wide range of cycle days x

@allgoodthings84 sorry to read about your MC. It does seem that it doesn't matter going by what you've all said x
