3 days late.. BFN. Going out of my mind.

Hi all,

Just looking for some support as I am starting to feel down.

TTC baby number 1, I am currently 3 days late, BFN and no sign of AF. I had a few pains at the start of the week and thought 'oh shes coming', lower back pains weds and thursday but still nothing. I have suspected PCOS with an ultrasound tuesday to check for cysts.

I am cycle #9, would be going into 10 if AF shows.

Anyone else in the same boat? Am i silly for letting this get me down so much? :(

Hello @2022TTCBaby1 I am in the exact same position as you. Trying for our first baby. I normally have a really regular cycle and I've never missed a period before. I am now 3 days late like you still no Bfp and no period in sight. I have zero symptoms of pms either I normally get really sore boobs but they're only slightly sore. I am symptom spotting like mad. I really feel like my body is trolling me. I'm glad I've found some one who's going through the same thing. Sending you baby dust and let's hope we get our BFPs soon x

Do you track ovulation? My last cycle I ovulated 5 days later than usual, this in turn will make AF appear 5 days later (or not if it turns to bfp). It could be that you ovulated X days later than usual. So you’re not out yet, keep waiting and hoping. Good luck.

Hi @LittleMissV989 and @Blue2020 i usually track but this month i didnt. I still have a really dark ovulation test last night, not positive, but darker than i would expect to see. This morning it was much lighter and a pregnancy test with BFN :(

I couldve ovulated really late but i am 5 days late, with today being 6 days with no sign of AF. Its so confusing!!

I keep having cramps and lower back pains but no idea whats causing it!

I have read some people havent got their BFP until weeks after missed AF but i doubt this is the case for me.

I have suspected PCOS but cycles are pretty regular and 21 day tests have said i do ovulate!

I have an ultrasound tomorrow to check for cysts so i guess if i am pregnant they will see then but my gut says its my body playing tricks on me!!

Thank you for posting this. I am in the same position as you and it's comforting to not be alone in this. I hope you get a BFP!!!
Keep your spirits high, as hard as that is going to be, if it's a BFN again. I am currently on day 34 of my cycle with no AF yet, but I usually see AF after 28-31 days. Last year, I had one time of AF coming after 37 days.

I had a BFN 3x this week, so I am thinking AF will be by soon.... but it's hard. We've been trying for 18 months now

It is so frustrsting when our body plays tricks on! AF finally showed up for me at CD 41! Now on CD 4 and ready to start the process all over again!
Is this baby #1 for you?

Hey @2022TTCBaby1 do you mind if I ask how it all went? I am strangely in a very similar situation and also have a scan tomorrow for a cyst (while also being dpo14 late for period but getting all the BFN)

Hi @northernsunshine, of course i dont mind. The ultrasound went fine, I didnt have any cysts. My PCOS is mainly hormones rather than having polycystic ovaries. Our next step was a hycosy, they flush your tubes with a dye to make sure there are no blockages, this wasnt pleasant but over in a seconds. We are still ttc baby number 1, cycle 19 now but have been offered a round of IVF when we hit 2 years!

Hope your scan goes well, but honestly, its fine. I would say cervical screening is worse!
