Have been TTC since Sept 2021, since then have taken Seven seas trying for a baby tablets, then conceive + tablets and now Ovum tablets alongside usual multivits. I have no children, am 39, 40 in 6 months so time is pounding in my ear and I'm basically throwing everything at this.
- Have limited alcohol,
- Have stopped smoking/vaping, (on and off for years but this time i mean it!),
- Always exercised,
- Mindful of eating/drinking.
- Had initial fertility assessment, vaginal ultrasound and everything looked fine. Not great blood results AMH was 2.3 and FSH was 2.99 back in February, hence my change of supplements to try to boost that.
- Have had acupuncture sessions since July.
- DP will need sperm analysis which is the next step when private health insurance kicks in. He is a father from previous relationship 13 years ago. He is also on the multivits, wellman, CQ10 etc, basically what holland and barrett advised him. He's had bloods done to rule out anything in way of thyroid so apart from a sperm analysis all is ok.
I have been tracking as much as i can using Flo app and period accuracy has been helpful. I tried Clearblue OPK for 1 month with no luck, as time goes on i go from obsession to go with the flow attitude. In all this time I haven't even had a late period. Absolutely nothing happening.
Decided to go on holiday during last fertile window. Period arrived 14th September and lasted 3 days as usual, my Flo app started to predict I was ovulating earlier, so it predicted ovulation on 24th September, 11 days after period. I'm away on holiday (14 Nights), brilliant timing! I didn't take OPK with me on holiday and thought let's just enjoy! TMI but i can honestly say there was plenty of DTD, every day on holiday and sometimes more. I thought hey this is a great chance!
Next period was predicted this Sunday 09 October.
Experienced brownish discharge on 03 October and thought oh this could be implantation! It was light and unusual. The next day sadly I realised it was a proper period, cramps, sore back, the works... and 7 days early! I thought I was still in the TWW, so so sad. Having logged this in Flo, basically a period within 3 weeks its showing that I didn't ovulate at all in September. I feel like mother nature is really playing some jokes on me now. Wondering was the travel an effect, but it was only a 5-hour flight and a very enjoyable holiday. I honestly think if i don't laugh at this i will cry. Getting more and more disheartened every month. I spent yesterday worried i was premenopausal with this early period. Argh, i just needed to rant
