How long did it take you to conceive while breastfeeding?

My periods returned 7 months postpartum, but I’m still breastfeeding and not using any formula. Still feeding through the night etc.

I’ve had a few periods now but they aren’t super regular yet and I’m not sure I’m ovulating? Every time I check for ovulation, it’s showing that I’m not ovulating.

I’d like a close age gap but thinking it’s going to be longer than I’d like as I won’t cut short my breastfeeding journey to conceive.

Hi, sorry I don't have any answers as I am wondering the same thing! My son is 20 months and my cycles are very irregular, but can't tell if that is due to PCOS or breastfeeding or both. Hoping someone might be along with some advice soon!

Straight away but my periods returned after 5 weeks despite ebf 😏

I could conceive whilst breastfeeding but not hold on to a pregnancy, once I stopped and hormones had reset themselves - bang pregnant immediately. The result is snoozing on my lap 😁

I conceived my first the very first time we TTC.

Breastfed for 17m started TTC at 12m.

I've had two chemical pregnancies due to a short luteal phase, and it's taken donkeys years and stopping bf for my cycle to regulate.

We've now been TTC 6/7 months (currently in the TWW).

It's been such a horrible journey so far. I wish I'd stopped bf earlier (or at least started TTC earlier so I knew I had to stop bf).

But in a way I don't regret giving my son the very best start for 17 months.

Best of luck :-) 🤞🏽
