Hi everyone I am new to this group but looking for some success stories to help me stay positive. My husband and I have been ttc for 2 years with no luck so far. We have been for the standard tests and I got a hycosy which came back ok. I am 35 husband is 38 so feeling the time pressure. Next steps will probably be IVF. Has anyone been trying for a while and got pregnant?

Finding it so hard as all my friends are currently pregnant or had their first and it’s so hard to be the one waiting and congratulating when I’m struggling on the inside!

Does anyone have any success stories from ttc for a longer time?

thank you xx

Thank you 💕 it still feels a bit surreal as I thought it would never happen! But just shows it really can happen at any time 🙏

@Massi2022 did you try anything different this cycle? I assume you would of tried everything but this point! Xxx

Massi2022 · 12/11/2022 21:27

The only thing I can think we did different was forget about ovulation dates and just DTD every second day all month. We had also been on a 2 week holiday a few weeks before (got AF On the last day so we didn’t conceive on holiday) but wonder if that maybe did help longer term. A part of me also just wonders if the whole thing is pot luck !! Throw the dice enough times and you will get two sixes 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Congratulations!!

We have also been trying for 2 years so was hoping for some success stories!

Congratulations 😍 I started trying at 35, it took nearly 2 years for me to conceive DD1 then 3 months to conceive DD2 and 9 months DS. Sending all my best your way 🙂

@Massi2022 when was your HyCosy?
congrats on your BFP - wish you a happy and healthy pregnancy!

We have also been trying for almost 2 years. Just had a HyCosy done … everything looks good, dh’s SA was also good (half a year ago). So idk what the deal is with us … unexplained so far.

Great news OP. Took us four years then found out I was expecting twins. I was nearly 33 when they were born.

Massi2022 · 14/11/2022 09:36

@summerchild92 our hycosy was in June and didn’t get pregnant until November. They did tell us a lot of people get improved fertility for a few months after it but that didn’t seem to make a huge difference for us. I suppose it was
good to be told my tubes were clear tho! Good luck with your journey I honestly believe it just takes some people longer for unknown reasons but it doesn’t mean there is anything hugely wrong!
