If I start breastfeeding again will my period stop?

I am 8 months postpartum with my first and stopped breastfeeding a month ago (with the odd feed here and there - maybe a couple times a week)

my period just came back which is great as want to start trying for a baby asap, but also now feeling like I would like to still feed my baby some milk. If I let her latch and feed every couple of days will my period stop again? Or now that it’s back is it likely to stay? I still have milk coming through.

my first period has been pretty much how they used to be.

I don't know - but I had periods while breastfeeding and you can get pregnant while breastfeeding period or not.

There's no way of knowing. I breastfed for 15 months and had periods like clockwork every month from 28 days after giving birth. I was fuming 😀

It is very likely to stay, usually once your cycle is up and running it stays that way, even if your baby is feeding far more often than every few days.

You can always try and see what happens to your cycle?

Mine came after 5 months (I was bf regularly), disappeared for a few months and came back later. I didn't change anything in my bf.
