Has anyone gotten pregnant at 45?

My friend did at 42. Just think long term though, 50 by the time they go to school, and when they are 20 you're a pensioner it's hard work. If that's what you want, I don't see why you wouldn't as long as the obvious hasn't happened

@circleinthesands im 43 and just after my second miscarriage in five months. Still hoping to get lucky but I know time is running out

@circleinthesands I had DS1at 39 and had DS2 at 46 in Nov 2022, both conceived naturally. Pregnancy 2nd time was ok until the end when I developed pre-eclampsia and needed an emergency c-section. That said I wouldn't change a thing. We were trying for number 2 for about 4 years. I started taking Severn seas trying to conceive tablets last February and had a BFP in April 2022, whether it was these or the fact that I started to relax and think it wouldn't happen now who knows.

I belong to an over 40s pregnancy group on Facebook, give me so much hope !

Yep my mum , had me at 45 I was a big shock

I have been taking pre conceive vitamins ..Blackmores Gold.
I did find they gave me stomach cramps a bit.

I've also felt like just relaxing and going with the flow more....seems to help.

I think I'm at that stage where - "if it happens , it happens" etc 😂

I had my second dc at 45. It was a much easier pregnancy! There were 8 years between the babies.

My friend's sister got pregnant at 51, natural conceprion. She'd been told she was infertile in her 30s so she'd never used contraception before and never been pregnant before. The child is now 3 and doing well!

I wasn’t, Circle. It was a complete accident. We were in holiday, I’d forgotten my diaphragm (yes, it was a long time ago) and we thought we’d get away with it given my age So, basically, a maximum of two shags

@Poshgirl27 dh and I did 2 fresh rounds at our local one in Kent

Then went abroad

In hindsight wish I went abroad for first

Imo better technology and diff /better freezing techniques but this was 2015/2016 so a while back

But we went to ivi in Madrid

Mainly as I'm a mn and 2 of my clients who didn't know each other both researched and went there and obv success as I was their mn for their first babies

So we went there

Did another fresh and that failed but had more embroys to freeze and dd now 6.5 was our 5th go but 2nd fet from 3rd fresh cycle

Yes scary going abroad but was cheaper as well then local clinic including flights

My sister at 50. She's knackered.

Why would you comment on a post from 2 years ago to be rude? While this person needed IVF, plenty of people conceive naturally at 45 which means nature does not agree it is too old.

And you’re right no one is entitled to children. Good job no one on this thread has said that they think that.

I hope you find happiness in your life so you don't have to waste further time trolling.
