FRER - faint line - is this positive?

Hello ladies,

I'm pretty new to this game and would like your help. What do you think - is this positive?

Yesterday, I took a test first thing, I didn't wait a full 5 mins but it looked negative so I threw it away. Had a peek later and there was a faint line. Waited until first thing this morning, tested again and another faint line! I've read a lot about false positives with FRER and I'm going to get more tests when the shops open but thought I'd see what you think! I'm due on in 3 days.

I'm nearly 35 and have PCOS so I didn't think it would happen easily, so don't quite believe it!

I'm being too impatient and took a Boots early detection test and it looks negative, but it wasn't first thing and I've read they aren't as sensitive, so I'll just have to wait!

I’ve today taken a frer and it very much looks like yours…

Well I did another Boots test yesterday morning and it was a darker line!
I'm due on tomorrow...I've just bought a Clearblue digital, I feel like I need to see it in words before I believe it, eek!

Would anyone class this as positive? I don't know what to think... its very much blue and there, just not a complete line 🥺

@anon1411 i don’t have any experience with the blue dye tests, I would recommend you do another one incase it is due run. From my experience you should be able to see a complete line, even if it was very faint. I have seen the other ladies here only recommending pink dye ones, the first response 6 days early ones (frer) are the most sensitive.

Yeah I have heard about blue dye tests do thats why I'm a bit unsure... I did take a frer not long after but it is like the faintest line ever. It did have a slight pink tinge to it but again I'm just not sure. I changed it to black and white purely because my camera quality is rubbish so didn't pick it up due to lighting etc.. let me know what you think 🌟

@anon1411 how many dpo are you? I would wait to retest in a few days and that way you should have a good comparison 💫

I do agree as I thought that myself but with it being quite distinct I wasn't sure if sometimes this happens? 🤷‍♀️ I have heard from friends in the past of their test lines being closer together but have actually been BFP. I am going to test again tomorrow that way its been a good 5 days so I will know for sure then no doubt

I'm not actually sure, I don't track anything like that and I have extremely irregular periods so I have no idea 🤦🏼‍♀️ which is frustrating at times as I don't have alot to work from 😅

I did have bad cramps and twinges Tuesday of last week which made me think Implantation Bleeding as it was nothing like I get with periods.xx

So I managed to work out a few dates which may help you help me me figure this all out 😅

20th August- Horrendous Cramps
07th Sept- Pink Spotting for 24 hours
09th Sept- Took the Clearblue test
10th Sept- Took the FRER test
