Good morning ladies,

This platform has been so helpful to me!

My periods are regular every month but they vary, typically between 26-30.
I've opted to use ClearBlue OPK to track my ovulation.

On CD15 and CD16 I got my flashing smiley (high fertility). I thought a solid smiley (peak) should follow soon... today I'm on CD17 and it's gone back down to low fertility (no smiley).

Does this mean I've missed ovulation? I've never ever ever missed a period in my life, so it makes me wonder if I maybe ovulated during my high fertility (flashing smiley)?

Might be a little TMI (sorry), but me and hubby have tried every other day this week during my fertile window including CD15, where I first got my flashing smiley.

Can someone please help explain what may happened? Has anyone gone through anything similar ?

Did you use the same test reader?

I don't use the clear blue kits, I've only used easy at home, however some people can get their peak the same day as a high result. When I get high results I test twice that day and usually catch the peak later in the day.

That being said, this month I've had a super long cycle and thought I'd had my peak a couple of weeks ago, however as I'm also tracking BBT my temp didn't rise after so ovulation wasn't confirmed...

I continued testing both OPKs and BBT and a week later I got a higher peak and my temp has risen to confirm ovulation (also had stomach cramps)

If you're not already I'd try to start monitoring your BBT as well, it's that extra bit of reassurance that all is what you think. If I wasn't tracking BBT I'd have assumed I ovulated a week earlier than I did and missed my peak completely x

I used a new tester from a new box as I had ran out of testing sticks.

I should've still carried using the old tester with the new sticks right ?

@ST18 You must keep to the same reader as they adapt to your levels the more you use them. I should imagine your levels are finely increased just before ovulation and it wasn’t picked up with the new reader but would assume it was when your high ovulation period occurred. I’d use the old reader if you’ve still got it, if not it’ll just need to adjust to your levels. Good luck!

I just used my old reader, and it's come back with a flashing smiley! I'm so glad again lol.
I'm currently on CD17 and still no sign of a solid smiley.

Just a little worried about when ovulation May be :(
