I have an abdo and internal ultrasound booked for tomorrow to check on fertility as TTC is taking a lot longer than previously (8months and I’m 40+) but I’m ovulating today/tomorrow according to my tests….

would you still DTD ? I dont want miss out on ovulation (we couldn’t do today as on opposite shifts) or would you hold off as it’s a bit grim to have the ultrasound wand up there when’s there’s cum…..

what would you do ?

Wait until after.

Definitely wait till after - I know medical staff see/deal with all sorts but it seems a bit .....icky

I’m going straight from the appt to work for the night, so that’ll mean I’ll miss this month ovulation completely :(

but yes it is icky

Im a sonographer - do it! its fine and not an issue at all. Don't miss an ovulation window, the sonographer honestly won't care, if they barely even notice, the probe will have a cover on and it will be whipped off an binned with barely a glance.

The sonographer probably wont even notice! Sperm are microscopic so it's not as if they will see them in your uterus lol

And they won't be inspecting the wand when it comes out either, it will have a condom on which goes straight in the bin

Ok thank you that makes me feel so much better :)
