Hello! I'm 25 and TTC baby 1 as the title says I have a slipped disc in my lower back which is suffer with daily due to pain (this has gone on about 3 years). It's usually worse during my period.

I'm obviously worried about carrying a baby/birth due to this.

I'm just hoping for some similar stories of pregnancy and disc trouble to settle my mind.

Thankyou!

I have a history of this and pregnancy was ok, although I think obviously carrying the extra weight can be difficult for some people with this condition. Are you not having any treatment/surgery for it?

That's good to hear, yes I understand obviously the extra weight will affect me. I'm trying to slim down as much as possible (healthily though) to make it easier on me, I'm by no means 'fat' but I can definitely stand to lose a few pounds. The doctors just seem to pass me from pillar to post always resulting in more meds or exercises. I stretch everyday and try to stay active, but I refuse now to take these crazy medications they try to prescribe me! I'm sick of hiding the pain, and they have really bad side effects! It frustrates me as I used to be a veterinary nurse - if an animal was diagnosed with a slipped disc it would be operated on within a few weeks if not better!🤦‍♀️
