When to ttc in new job?

When is it acceptable to ttc? I start a new job next month and want to start ttc at the same time. If I was to become pregnant straight away, would that be a bit unfair on my new employers to basically show up and potentially two months later anounce I'm pregnant? I'm 30 next year, married, and have no children yet.

I think its a completely personal choice and obviously hard to know how long it might take. Whatever you decide I'd check your t&c for mat leave.
I work in the civil service and you need a full years service by your due date so might just be worth factoring that in if you're hoping to get any mat leave benefits.

Thank you! Yeh I've checked it out and it would work out fine for me with mat leave!

I think I have this weird guilty feeling of like I shouldn't leave and have children from a work that's just hired me. But that's ridiculous right? Life happens. I can't put off having a baby because of that surely. And exactly, you never know how long it's going to take to conceive!
