How long did your tests look like this after a miscarriage?

I posted this in an another thread. Unsure which best to post in!

Starting bleeding on Saturday and my positives got weaker and weaker. Phoned GP Monday morning and reported an MC.

Not my first so knew the drill.

Have been continuing to get positives. Been having cramps on left side, and left side back and shoulder pain today. Reported it to out of hours doctor who told me to wait it out and go to a&e if pain gets severe.

Tested this evening and this is the current positives and I'm worried it's not passing as it should?

How far along were you OP? I got positives for a few weeks after my last MC (medical management at 9/10 weeks), it took exactly 3 weeks to be fully negative. Do another test in the next couple of days and it should be fainter - if not and the shoulder pain continues I’d definitely be pushing EPU to check everything has passed & confirm no ectopic. Sorry you’re going through this 💐

I’m over a week now from passing everything after medical management for a mmc, my test is still dark, the epu told me to test after 2 weeks but they allow 3 weeks before they investigate further. However I have had a scan and they said it was a complete miscarriage so not sure if that’s different to what you’re experiencing!

Up to 4 weeks after bleeding had stopped.
i never bothered testing to be honest.

Waited until I got my period then knew I was back to normal.
For retained products I just followed any symptoms pointing towards this. (Pain, temperature, discharge, that kind of thing)

I’m really sorry you’re going through this. Please keep an eye on the shoulder pain as I think that can be a sign of ectopic if it’s the shoulder tip where the shoulder and arm meet.

I rang the out of hours doctor.. who said it did sound ectopic and advised to take paracetamol and hold off 'for as long as I could and go to A&E only if I was in extreme pain'.

The pains have eased.. but my tests are getting stronger?! Very confused

Also to wait for two weeks as it may pass naturally.. which I totally get!

But whyyy are the tests getting stronger?

You really really need to be seen by EPU. It does sound like it could be ectopic. Do not delay!!

it took about 4 weeks for mine to be completely negative. Still an obvious line after 3 weeks
