Spotting light or need to use a 'Mini' tampon light?

My periods have been heavy for the last 10 years and I have just come on but I have no pain or backache etc. Technically, I should have been feeling like I have been in the early throws of labour for the past 2 days and in agony now in bed until at least Wednesday.

Do you mean you are in your 2nd month of pregnancy and having a bleed or that you suspect you are because of a light period?

With ds, I had a near normal period for 2 days (not as heavy, still with cramps) which then stopped for a couple of days - and then started again. I got suspicious and did a test a week later! I had very light bleeds for the next 2 months (at the time my period would have been due).

The pregnancy continued as normal. Fingers crossed for you.

I have a feeling I may be preg but only a few weeks.
Was due on tomorrow but have come on today. I expected to start feeling like shit and be in agony from Friday onwards but the pain/aches/dead feeling did not come and is still not here but am having a bleed.
Only necessary for reg. tampons though, not super plus and towel combo from the word go.

spotting light, for a couple of days, like a period that never got started. I also had some cramping too. If your period doesn't start as anticipated tomorrow, I would do a test - as they may wish to give you a scan because of the bleeding to rule out ectopic pg.

had a bleed like the start of a period with dd1 and thought I had come on for a whole day, it then went off and a bout a week later I finally had the courage to do a test !

I had a heavy bleed during my last pregnancy, which continued for 2wks. When I was scanned they said I had a large blot clot in my womb. I was 3mth pg at the time and went on to have a healthy baby

Okay, so i got 'that feeling' in me knicks in Borders this afternoon, nipped to the loo. Blood, quite red, no clots. (I usually get little clots to start that get larger as it goes on. Lovely.
I put some tissue in me knicks and carried on browsing for a few minutes, choking back the tears.

Got home, went to loo, tissue not saturated as I had expected. Put a regular tampon in. That was at 5pm.
Just took it out, expected to have started leaking by now, and only 1/3rd of it was red and it was more a slimy bright red, rather than the horror movie dark stuff I get. I wiped, there was nothing so I have not put another one in.

I have been very honest as I am not wanting to kid myself into thinking this will be okay. My previous pregs. had no bleeding, were very straightforward, exactly what it said on the tin. This makes me think this is all going to go horribly wrong.

I had a bleed when I already knew that I was pregnant. It was quite light but really freaked me out. Lasted for about 2 days. I ended up going to hospital to have a scan.
Everything was fine and my dd is now 7.5 months.

Without going into too much detail my bleed was simillar to your description

Hope everything works out for you, I really do. I did also have a bleed with ds but that was at 12 weeks, and it was only a bit and then stopped. I have two friends who both had early bleeds and went on to have their babies ok. But I don't want to get your hopes up, just fingers crossed that everything is ok x

OK. I bled with both DS1 and DS2. I had spotting at around 5/6 weeks and then had a major bleed with both at around 11/12 weeks. With the big bleed it was actual blood bleeding (so bright red and thin) rather than period type blood (darker,mucousy with clots) IIRC the spotting was similar just really small amounts. When I miscarried (between DS2 and DD) although I hoped it was a bleed as with the DSs I knew it wasn't because it was more period like (cramps and clotty)

I don't know what to suggest tbh. If you were sure you were pg I'd suggest getting your GP to refer you to your local EPU, but they wouldn't really see you prior to around 6 weeks as not much would show up on a scan. Do you think you could face doing a test? Short of that it's just going to be waiting to see what happens (which is going so frustrating I'd imagine!)

I have 1 test in the cupboard and I buckled and did one on friday (day 25) and it was bfn. They are tesco own ones, £3.88 for 2.

I was thinking of catching my first wee tomorrow and testing then.

I have absolutle no pain and the blood is red, not crimson and clotty like I usually get. It is sort of slimy though rather than thin.

In fact i feel on top of the world and am exceptionally happy tonight, even with ds1 still up. I am not sure if my mood is a good sign or not?!

Had heavy bleed, told I was having a miscarriage, went on to have a beautiful healthy baby girl.

With dd1 i bled on/off all the way through and was quite heavy initially and she is now 6

i had a bit off dirty brown discharge and htought oh no period starting ( i was ttc) and put in reg tampon, changed it 4 hrs late - red blood then on it, put another in , changed it next morning and nothing on it at all, thought oh period just being abit slow starting, 5 days later slowly dawned on me no period so did test in middle of morning surgery, shoved stick under my computer, remembered after to check between patinets and yep preggers !!! still remember the elation 3 years later

i had a bleed similar to what you describe the day before i was due on my period when i was actually pregnant with dd2.i was so sure it was the start of my period i MSN'd my best mate that 'its ok!im not pregnant!'.then the next day,nothing.i did a test and it was neg.3 days later and no more blood i did another and it was positive.

i never had any spotting or bleeding with my first 3,yet with dd2 i went on to have some spotting at 8 weeks and again at 12 weeks.

with dd3 i was spotting/light bleeding(red but not bright red)almost constantly from 5 weeks to 8 weeks.i was reffered to the EPU when it first started as i also had one sided pain and they suspected an ectopic,but a scan at 6 weeks showed a heartbeat.

dd2 is now 2 and dd3 is 10 months.

Today is the day before I am due to, and feeling quite optimistic reading all this. You best all have it crossed for me!

I had a bleed when pg with DS, when my period was due, it was unusually light with no cramping, I used a tampon for about three days but there wasn't much blood (usually loads!). I got my BFP a couple of days after the bleeding stopped.

rIGHT GOOD THAT'S GREAT AS I HAD ANOTHER WIPE OF BLOOD BUT NOT CONVINCED IHAVE ENOUGH THERE FOR ANOTHER TAMPON YET.

Am getting some pain now so amnot holding out much hope.
Everyone's stories are fab but my luck doesn't run like that.

DD1 - huge bleed at 9 weeks, think toilet bowl splattered with red blood, smaller bleed at 10 weeks both times she was fine.

DB3 - small amount of brown bleeding at 8 weeks, went on to have a mc

DB4 - red and brown blood at 10 weeks, an 16 weeks now and all looks fine so far.

I don't think you can ever judge it I'm afraid. Get a clearblue digital put your mind at rest, hope it's a good outcome for you though x

I think the only way you will know for sure is doing a test. I had one miscarriage at about 10 weeks (very crampy and hormonal) but then bled for 17 weeks with ds2 and obviously the pregnancy was OK. Good luck...
