Anyone had a vvfl on FRER but a positive on a digital on the same day?

Hi,

Has anyone had a very very faint line (squinter) on an FRER but had a positive on a Clearblue digital on the same day? I think my period is due today and I just feel pregnant…yesterday I tested on an FRER and couldn’t see a line but today I’m pretty sure there was a very faint line. I’m debating whether to go and buy a digital but I don’t want to if it will definitely come back negative as it’s too soon?

please don’t tell me to wait a week and retest, I don’t have that level of patience! Haha!

I literally just had these: pretty much nothing yesterday on Frer (like a super squinter that barely could be seen on pic) , and the second one with vvf line this morning and then a digi at 1030

Have you got a pic of your squinter? If there is something there I’d defo say get a digi, they put you out of your misery so much quicker. I didn’t trust either of my FRER until I saw the digi, FRER reviews are terrible for indents/Evap lines apparently. Without seeing it I really wouldn’t know what to advise! I have my fingers crossed for you x

Oh also a I bought an early clear blue digi that is more sensitive not a normal as I am 13DPO so still a little early x

Yep, the last time I was pregnant my FRER was so faint I thought it might be an indent. The Clear Blue Ultra Early had an obvious blue line so I took the Ultra Early digi and it said pregnant.

I haven't felt the same way about FRER's since that. They certainly seem to be weaker than they were when I was pregnant with my son in 2020.

Yeh I certainly wouldn’t buy then again!

Ohhh I think I can see something on the second pic!! How many days DPO are you? If you are early I’d say get and ultra early clear blue digi and see what it says x

@TheBirdintheCave thank you for the heads up. I feel that the line on the Clearblue early test was clearer than the FRER. Digital came back negative though. who knows!

@MissyTTC3 I didn’t test for ovulation this month. My cycles are usually 28-32 days long and today is day 29. I had typical fertile mucus mid month but I’m not sure when I ovulated… x

So you still could be early! I‘ve got my finger crossed for you!!

@TTC94 I tested on an easy@home, FRER, CB digital and CB blue cross one on Tuesday - yes I’m addicted!

Here’s what the ones that showed positive looked like, the CB blue cross one had a whisper of a line, but I’d have 100% read it as negative has it not been the last one I tried.

I retested and no line, so I think maybe a chemical pregnancy. Or I misinterpreted the line on the one I posted above! Thank you for asking ❤️

Oh no I’m really sorry! I’ve also started bleeding today and my line is getting lighter so think I am also having a chemical, it’s such an emotional rollercoaster! This is my second chemical in a row 😞 trying to stay positive and I’m defo not testing next time until it way later on in the the process (or so I tell myself) x

Hey ladies, I'm in the same boat. After Wednesday's positives, I had zero line progression, tested with a CB pregnant / not pregnant yesterday and it still was showing as pregnant... had a light bleed last night, and have started to bleed this morning. I had a FRER left so tested on that and it's so faint, even fainter than my pics above from last week. I'm 'only' 4w6d so doctors just said sit tight and test again in a week.

This is EXACTLY like mine, tested last night and got positive on CB, then tested FRER this morning and literally nothing there and started light bleeding. I’m pretty much counting myself out and trying to look forward now instead of backwards.

if this is another chemical I suppose it shows that we can actually get pregnant and just need some luck on our side to make it stick. Sending you lots of hugs! I’m gonna try focus on getting fit etc too and I’m not bloody testing next month!!

@MissyTTC3 so sorry to see this, it’s so upsetting 😔 and it’s really difficult not to test early or day period is due! I have no idea how some people manage to wait a week or two until after their missed period.

this was my test today although that line didn’t come up in the recommended window, it took ages so I reckon this is a sign of the end, my bleeding is super light but I will update in a day or two. I expect full force to come by tomorrow. 😫 ah well, onwards and upwards!
