Hi all,

I would like to try one of the above kits this cycle. Which would you recommend please? Anyone have any success stories using one of the above?
From what I understand, once you get a solid smile, that's when to DTD?
Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks x

The five days coming up to ovulation are the most fertile so its good to try on both the flashing and static smiley. The Clearblue tests are very expensive, I've used both those and ended up sticking with the paper strips and then using Clearblue to confirm so using the paper strips from say day 9 and then it looked like I had a peak checking with the Clearblue, it worked well - best of luck :-)

@Sesamechick I have a bunch of the paper strips (One Step) but sometimes they are difficult to read. You can use apps to do that for you ( I believe most people use premom) but even then you may end up not being sure so I got myself a 4 fertile day CB reader so that I can use it in tandem, just like Rowen32 recommended.
My view is we wait an entire month for that peak so I really don't want to miss it
There's lots of v good reviews of the CB.
Good luck!

I used the clearblue ones first time and although I felt like I was ‘getting somewhere’ in terms of getting closer to becoming pregnant by using it, the smiley faces etc really play on the vulnerability of someone trying to conceive as you end up actually excited or disappointed based on a silly little face each morning 😂 I did get pregnant but actually found the easy at home cheap strips worked just the same and even allowed me to see at what point in the day I had peaked, meaning I wouldn’t miss it. All the clearblue ones are doing is comparing your reading to yesterday’s reading and showing a face instead of a line so personally when I try again soon I’m going to go with the cheap ones instead!

And as above, YES to the premom app! If you’re into the mind games of the smiley faces, you will love the premom app 😂 You can have graphs and all sorts of data plotted on it, you take a picture of your little strip each day or multiple times a day in my case and it translates it to a digital value then shows you all of the days together and highlights your peak. I really miss having all that actually 😂

I got the pink one (2 fertile days) and I found it very useful 🙂

Pregnant within 3 months. I was using pre seed so that probably helped some too as I don't get much EWCM xxx

@FirstTimeTryer93 congratulations, wishing you a very happy pregnancy 👍🏽 did you do the sperm meets egg method by any chance or just BDd when the opk started flashing ?
