So my periods range between 28-34 days. Monday will be day 28 of this cycle. Would it be worth testing or would it make more sense to wait till day 34 in case this month is a longer cycle? I haven't tracked ovulation so not able to count forward 14 days (assuming that would have worked). New to TTC and just a bit lost 😕

Are you prepared for the emotions you might feel if it's negative?

Sometimes a BFN can be worse than AF just arriving.

Also tests are expensive and you're at the start of your TTC journey. If I could go back and give myself a talking too it would be to not test unless AF was a good few days certainly late to save money and because I find BFN so much more disheartening than AF.

Good luck in your journey

Most pregnancy tests are 99% accurate 3 days before your period is due so you could test then.
I'm the opposite of the previous poster. I found it much better to test (I always waited until the day before). For me, I felt more in control, I could test, see it was negative and know my period was coming rather than going to the bathroom and seeing the blood 😔

@MissBeeBee I'd advocate for waiting. The first weeks go excruciatingly slowly anyway without adding so many extra days. Plus you either are or you're not and try to get a v squinty line isn't overly helpful. Bit different if you're planning a heavy boozing night or something like that

Thanks all. I'll wait till next weekend I think as I'm trying to be easy breezy with it all (and failing miserably)
