Irregular periods after coming off combined pill

Hi,

Just after a bit of an idea of others experiences.

I came off the combined pill at the start of April,

Since then I have had 1 cycle last 45 days, and the 2nd last 40 days. This will be my third cycle and it is currently day 34.

We have planned to start TTC for my next cycle, I am now a little worried that my periods are still irregular, from what I have read these should have settled down after 3 months?

What were others experiences? I was on the pill for 14 years so it's hard to remember what they were like before, although I do feel they were maybe more on the irregular side.

Starting to wonder if there is an element of PCOS or similar and it's never been picked up?

TIA :)

I came off the pill the start of January and I have irregular periods, although I get one every month and it lasts five days. Apparently it is totally normal and can take a year for periods to get back in a proper cycle. Hope that helps

I came off the pill in October after 7 years. Started trying for a baby in November. My periods weren't regular before i was on the pill and was the same after. Sometimes my cycle was really short, Other times really long. Sometimes it didn't come at all. There's plenty of ways to track ovulation without going by your cycle, I was doing that and never got caught. The moment I stopped actively trying and was just going with the flow I got pregnant (July).

My first i got pregnant fast and this one took a while, but as long as you ovulate it will happen. Point being I don't think it matters when your period is just as long as you have one. And just have fun! Good luck 🙂
