Clear Blue OPK - no flashing face straight to static face?!

I am using the clear blue digital ovulation tests and it has gone straight from 4 days of blank circle to static smiley face with no days of flashing face 🤷🏻‍♀️ Anyone else had this? Probably overthinking but now worried my hormones not working properly as it’s meant to give flashing for estrogen surge….

CD 9 - blank
CD 10 - blank
CD 11 - blank
CD 12 - static face

there’s two different clear blues one that shows your two most fertile days with a static and a slightly more expensive one that has the flashing smile first then static. Probably worth checking which you’ve bought

@2020newbie its the more expensive ones so should show a flashing face 🤷🏻‍♀️

Sorry I have no idea why you haven’t got a flashing smiley then. If it helps I bought the cheaper ones that just go static after a few cycles ttc and got pregnant my first cycle using them.

Is it your first month using them or a new stick sometimes it can do that, as the longer you use them the more it picks up your hormones etc

I had this happen the month we conceived with dd2, I wonder if I'd just quickly gone through the flashing smiley face bit and gone straight to static x

I think you started testing too late. Next month try a couple of days earlier. The first day you test is your baseline. It calibrates the test to zero. The surge is detected by comparing with this baseline. So if your baseline was when you were having a surge then it won't detect it, but the LH is detected anyway so it goes straight from nothing to solid face. Does that make sense? Sorry I'm probably not explaining it very well. I'm sure your hormones are fine!

Was it FMU you were using? It only worked for me on second morning wee :)
