My period is approx 4 days or so late - irregular periods, but I always get it about 10 days after my LH surge (short luteal phase, I know..!) I'm now on day 40 - the longest I've ever had before is 35 days..
It's about 2 weeks now since my LH surge and still nothing. I had some spotting on Sat morning but it stopped pretty quickly and nothing since. I have had mild period style cramps a tiny bit on Wed/Thurs and more noticeably Fri-Sun.
I am involved in fertility treatment (but had done nothing this cycle) so I went in privately today for a scan and they also did blood tests.
The blood test is negative for pregnancy. They said they would have thought, based on my other bloods/womb that I've only recently ovulated. But I had my LH surge 2 weeks ago, as well as EWCM and pains etc and these pains from the weekend did not feel like ovulation pain. They could see a corpus luteum to show I had ovulated from my right ovary at some point but they don't know how recently.
Womb lining was thick and so they said it was definitely not my period on Sat/now or else the lining would have been shedding. They also said something about it being triple layered which wouldn't be typical for early pregnancy (Google tells me this is more similar to ovulation time also!)
I'm desperately hoping that Sat was implantation bleeding/cramping so, based on everything I've read, I guess that means it's 4-5 days from the implantation before the hormone levels would be high enough to give a positive result? But then I know blood tests are even more sensitive..
The doctors weren't really sure themselves and essentially I need to go back if my period hasn't started within 2 weeks and they'll do it all again.
Anyone had similar experiences and turned out to be pregnant? I know the best thing to do is just wait a few more days and do a pregnancy test (at home) if period hasn't arrived but just so desperate to know now! Obviously all home tests so far have been negative :(
