Hi,

I’ve posted over the last few days as my FRERs have basically not progressed at all from 8DPO to 11DPO (yesterday). I had a beta HCG yesterday and it came back as 24.6.

I’m having another tomorrow to see 48 hour progression but today I’ve got watery brown discharge when wiping (see photo- sorry if TMI!).

I didn’t test today as run out of FRERs and have the second beta tomorrow anyway but now I feel like it’s definitely a CP and I’m going to miscarry any moment 😭 anyone had this discharge at c.12 DPO (estimate as didn’t do OPKs this month) and gone
on to have a healthy pregnancy?

hi it is completely normal to have some spotting in the early days. I’ve always been told it’s when there is fresh red blood then it’s a cause for concern. Hope all goes well. I had this in my last pregnancy and was fine

If it’s any consolation I’ve had two chemicals recently and both times have started with bright red blood that has got heavy quickly. Keeping everything crossed for you!

Watery brown blood could be a sign of an ectopic - if your HCG goes up then I hope for all the best but I would make sure they check this out properly.
I did have some brown/pinkish bleeding and worried I was having an ectopic again after it happened previously, but all was ok. Bleeding early on is common. Good luck!

I was going to make the same comment as the above. Brown discharge is common in ectopic pregnancies. I had an ectopic and the brown discharge was accompanied with shooting pains and spasms inside the vagina and strong groin and stomach cramps. Keep an eye on your symptoms but don’t assume the worse. I also had a perfectly healthy pregnancy after three months of irregular but heavy bleeding and cramps. I would never have believed that pregnancy would succeed but after three months of stress it was plain sailing and she is 13 years old now. All sorts of things can happen and I hope all is going to be fine for you. Take care x

Bad news, todays beta HCG only 30.9 so only +25% in 48 hours. Still got the brown discharge. Do I call the doctor or just wait for it to pass?

Sorry to hear that OP.

At the moment, other than checking your HGC there isn’t really anything they can do so maybe wait it out for a few days. If you still don’t bleed properly or you have unusual stomach cramps, especially on one side I think you need to get checked out.

So sorry to hear that @Scrambledeggz 😞

If it were me I would give my local EPU a call, just to be able to rule out an ectopic. When I had mine my first symptom was brown watery discharge. I then also developed heavier red bleeding and cramps about 30 mins later, including some pain that was more on one side (felt a bit like a throbbing stitch). It’s probably not an ectopic but worth speaking to someone just in case.

I’m sorry for what you are going through. My thoughts are with you. I really hope you get on ok.
