Hey All,

I am new here and just wanted help with what all the abbreviations mean? Sorry if that’s really stupid.

My boyfriend and I have been trying for a baby for 10 months now, and to be honest I’m trying my hardest to just be positive, however, to be honest it’s really getting me down now. I don’t know if anyone else is in the same boat. I don’t speak to anyone about it, as all my close friends and family all have so much going on, I don’t want to bother them. My other half already has a 9 year old, and I think that’s what makes it harder. I haven’t ever been close to being pregnant. So guess I just wondered if anyone else feels the same or in a similar boat. My friend said to come on here as people go through the same thing. Thanks for listening. I really appreciate it

Have you been tracking your cycle or using ovulation tests?

Lucyintheskywithdiamonds1988 · 16/07/2022 21:34

Yes I have been tracking my cycle and used the thermometer too to track temperature.

Hey!

I'm also new to Mumsnet, so I'm following so I can learn the abbreviations too.

I'm just about to start trying for a baby, but just letting you know - if you ever need to share the frustrations, feel free to chat - I'm not sure what my journey will be like, but I can totally understand how you may be feeling disheartened, I'm sorry it's not been easy so far for you!!

@Lucyintheskywithdiamonds1988 maybe you can outline what measures you've taken already - what exactly have you been taking, doing etc, what does your cycle look like, how long, when is ovulation, when are you DTD, medical issues etc. Then people can give you suitable advice or tips.
