24 day cycle - positive OPK day 6!?

Hi all

I have an average of 24 day cycle each month. I finished AF yesterday after 5 days and took a clear blue digital ovulation test this morning and got a static smiley then again this evening and still positive. This is day 6 of my cycle…. Is this possible/healthy to ovulate this early? Or could this be a false reading?

I have been reading up and seeing some people say this is too early for successful conception? But others have said this is fine as long as the LP is longer than 10 days (which it is). Does anyone have any advice/success of falling pregnant this early in their cycle. Starting to worry x

Just out of interest have you ejected the test and looked at the lines? Mine showed as positive yesterday evening on day 9 which is massively early for me it's normally day 11. I removed the test from the monitor but and it had blurred and was faulty. X

@Angie2018 mine is usually around CD10/11 too - what is your usual cycle length if you don’t mind me asking? I popped the test out and it’s not blurred at all but the second line doesn’t seem as strong as it did last month… x

@HRS94 my cycles range between 25-27 days. Normally 26 days though with a 12 day follicular phase and a 14 day LP. I bought another new test kit to check the new monitor and it didn't say peak on it so I know it was a faulty test strip I used. If the line is as dark or darker than the control line then it may be your peak but that means you may ovulate in up to 56 hours so may be day 9 by the time you ovulate xx

@Angie2018 I have taken 3 tests today and popped the strips out and this is what they look like. If they’re the right way round (standard line on right and result line on left) then they don’t look overly strong! X

@HRS94 was the smiley definitely static? Because I agree they look strong but not peak! Xx

@HRS94 also once you have one static smiley you can't test again for 48hours as the smiley remains for that time. Was it defo not a flashing smiley? X

@Angie2018 yup static smiley, it’s still there now. I just used the test strips on their own for the other two without the reader. I’m thinking it’s been a false positive x

@HRS94 that's so weird!! If you don't have any other ovulation symptoms then don't accept it as the lines not dark enough but keep DTD & testing xx
