Hi all. This is my first post on here. I am currently in my 2ww. My fiancé and I are using an informal donor (AI) due to male factors.
I have PCOS so to my knowledge I very rarely ovulate - I’ve never had a + OPK.. however, Tuesday I was having some breast/nipple tenderness and bloating then Tuesday evening I had very obvious EWCM (I’ve never noticed it before so I was very surprised). I didn’t have any OPKs with me as I was away, but we contacted our donor and we agreed to to do AI early the next morning (Wednesday). When I got home I did OPK (cheapie and clear blue digital) and they were both negative. Ovulation symptoms carried on and worsened throughout Thursday and I experience several sharp twinges around my left ovary which started around 24hrs after AI which I am hoping was egg release or even fertilisation (OPK aren’t reliable with PCOS due to the naturally high levels of LH hormone - so they don’t necessarily detect your peak).
HOWEVER, I have had my first ever flashing smiley face on OPK this morning! Twice!
Still negative on the cheapie so I guess the sensitivity is lower.

I’m hoping that I was in fact ovulating Wednesday but levels weren’t detectable due to PCOS and that it’s only picking up on them now because they are at their highest?

I have absolutely everything crossed that AI wasn’t slightly too early though?! Although apparently sperm can live inside the vagina for 5 days, but I don’t know if that decreases with AI. He is quite far from me so unfortunately cannot arrange a last minute second donation.

So right now I’m assuming I am 1DPO. I am experiencing bloating, headaches, nausea, fatigue and a heavy feeling in my uterus and slight dull ache in the left ovary area. My cervix is high and I think it’s soft but I don’t have a frame of reference as I’ve never tracked cervical position before.

Any advice on sperm donors, AI, male factors, PCOS or is anyone in the 2WW who would like to buddy up?
