Am I pregnant again? (I have a 12 week old!)

I had a niggle the other day so did a Frer in the afternoon ...nothing.... Until I opened it up (I know that makes it invalid) and then I could clearly see a line on the reverse side (the matt side, not the shiny side)
So I assumed it's an indent.

Then I did another Frer the next day (yesterday) and same thing, nothing until I opened it and then I could see an ident line.

This afternoon I did a Clearblue and same again...an indent. Or is it?

I know all 3 tests are now invalid but I'm still curious (yes, I'll keep testing!)

I'm breastfeeding and haven't had a period yet.

The 'niggle' has been vivid dreams, metallic taste and crying over the silliest things.

Mainly wondering if it's possible to get 3 consecutive indents from 2 different brands...any thoughts?

Have you had unprotected sex? If you have you might be pregnant. The tests at this point are immaterial.

ohblahdeeohblahdahlifegoeson · 15/07/2022 07:27

Yes have been having unprotected sex but only a few times (I know it only takes once 😂)

I would be thrilled if I was pregnant again as I'm 41 and I assumed it would take much longer

First thing in the morning do a clearblue or similar, but follow the instructions.
They're designed to give a swift, clear answer.
Good luck!

EarringsandLipstick · 15/07/2022 07:36

Why are you opening them up? Anything you see will not be a valid result.

You need to take one pregnancy test according to instructions with FMU and then use the result you see.

If several days pass & you still have symptoms, you take another.

Absolutely not need, and no point, to pull them apart or to take more than one in a 3 / 4 day period.

Every negative frer test i did had a noticeable indent line

Well might be good news then! For most, having a 12 week is enough contraception!

No, it doesn’t

ohblahdeeohblahdahlifegoeson · 15/07/2022 20:57

This mornings clearblue...of course I tested again. I would love to have the self control to wait but I don't.
I haven't had a period yet so no idea where I am on my cycle.

But the line is so thin, I've read that means it's faulty so I guess I'll be testing again tomorrow! 🤪

That lines too thin but definitely has colour. I would test again, I got pregnant whilst breastfeeding it's definitely possible!

AnnoyedByAlfieBear · 15/07/2022 21:29

I've read the opposite! A line is a line, no matter how thin or pale! Try a pink line test so you def know it's an evap line. But I'm offering a tentative congratulations!

ohblahdeeohblahdahlifegoeson · 16/07/2022 21:04

Update...big fat negatives on clear blue and Frer this morning.
Metallic taste gone along with vivid dreams but perhaps those were both the result of me over analysing everything!

OP posts:
ohblahdeeohblahdahlifegoeson · 16/07/2022 21:11

Wait!
I just went to throw the tests in the bin and saw another thin blue line on the clear blue.
Nothing on the Frer.

So I'm yet another who can add their vote of no confidence in clearblue as I know from reading many MN posts that Frer is the more reliable of the two brands

I think the thin blue line on the clear blue is an indent

hopingfor23 · 16/07/2022 23:06

I see a line on the cab and the frer!

I wish that was the case but alas there's not...I've peered at it from every angle in every light lol

Are you definitely using First Response Early Result and not Rapid Result?

I think the Clearblue is less sensitive than Rapid Result but more sensitive than Early Result. Definitely see a line to me.

I quickly double checked but they are the rapid ones...I wouldn't have thought to double check on that though so thanks for the heads up

Summary...the clear blue early result tests are rubbish!
3 blue lines in a row but nothing on frer

OP posts:
startfresh · 17/07/2022 04:54

I personally found CB more reliable than FR which took ages to show me a positive.

Although I wouldn't trust any broken open and be wary of any positives after the time stated. I don't think doing either of these things can cause CB to be rubbish as they're being misused against the instructions.

Although a line showing up within the time limit on a CB, I have never had an issue with.

acuteanxiety · 17/07/2022 05:29

Buy a pack of 100 tests from amazon

I have everything crossed for you
They look positive to me xx

Dying to know! I fell pregnant at 41 when my baby son was 16 weeks old 😄

ohblahdeeohblahdahlifegoeson · 17/07/2022 06:51

I'll update tomorrow when I've done yet another morning test.
I'm out of clearblue and only have Frer left.

Surely IF I was pregnant the Frer would show up tomorrow as it's been 3 days of blue lines on CB ... I'm trying to be realistic and not get my hopes up!

Goals!
How did you find it having 2 so close together?

I had a dream pregnancy and home birth with miss 12 weeks so I'm feeling confident I can go another round sometime soon.
She is also a very easy baby (so far)

TheKipperAndTheCorpse · 17/07/2022 16:18

I think I might have got that wrong above sorry - shouldn't post during night wakings.

In terms of sensitivity I think it is

Most sensitive and should show positive first - First Response Early Result
Next most sensitive and should show positive next - Clearblue
Least sensitive and should show positive last - First Response Rapid Result

So if the Clearblue says yes but the Rapid Result says no it might just be a matter of time !!

CrispsnDips · 17/07/2022 16:46

Two close together was busy but fun: two lots of nappies/two to lift and carry around as my son was exactly 12 months old when my daughter was born (she was five weeks early) and he didn’t walk until 14-15 months!

I’m quite a fit old bird 😆
